When I in stall my USB cable to my 9000 and it connects to my desktop I get the following storage menus on my PC:
1. DCIM
2. EPM
3. Media
4. Voice
I do know that my movies are stored in Media and my pics are stored in DCIM...BUT what cen you do with EPM? I had the Samsung A900 for a day and I was able to store my EXCEL documents with a chart on my A900 and I was wondering if the Sany 9000 is capable of doing that also.

you can store whatever you can fit on there, but that doesnt mean you can actually do anything with it though. the minisd will just be like a jumpdrive

I asked the same question with no good response and a hint of sarcasm about a month ago:

I just tested it, and you can store miscellaneous files anywhere outside the DCIM or MEDIA folders, so it's not necessarly for documents and the like.
Some help please??
Edit: Just opened the folder and there are some .md files with the same file names as the pictures in the dcim folder, so it's releated to that i think, but I don't know what the md files are for or what they do

Ok, here is my problem...I just took a WORD file and cut and pasted it in the EPN folder/Sanyo100....then I took the USB cable off to see if I can find it on my phone and the only options on my phone is the following:
1. Picture
2. Video
3. Voice
4 Media
Which means the word file is floating somewhere on my phone or it never synched on my phone. I guess we will never know the answer.

You can know the answer simply by reconnecting your phone to your computer and exploring the phone's drive letter. Almost certainly, the file is there but the phone itself will never use it.
The root of the problem here is that the Sanyo MM-9000 does not support the optional JSR 75 packages for PIM and file system access:

I'm not sure, but i think it might be where it stores voice memos. under the memo options you can set it to save to the phone or mini-sd. so my guess would be voice memos but i have to check it out still.

the 9K stores voice memos in the VOICE folder, so I don't think it's for that...like I said my EPM folder has .md files around 22 bytes with the same names as the pics in my DCIM folder. Its weird
