Greeting all!

I just switched over from a 2.5 year old bare bones nokia cell. Now i am on Spring with the bright red MM-8300.

I have been playing with this thing for a couple of days and i cannot seem to find a option to do an "ascending" ring. On my nokia the ring option can be applied to any tone or song. It starts off softly at first and gets louder with each ring. I found it to be a great feature that is eases you into a ring without being too soft.

My ancient nokia could do that so i would be shocked that my new super high tech 8300 cant.

Anyone know the answer to that?

thanks

My 1997 Qualcomm 2700 has that same useful feature!

whoaa! that is an old phone Printing. I am thinking my Sanyo 8300 can has ascending ring feature but being a newbie i just dont know where the setting is. Hopefully someone out there can answer this question. I missed it so much that i may just switch the phone for this one feature. Not sure yet.

I don't believe it has that feature. I've owned three sanyos and none of them had it like my nokia did.

Cute baby Burito 75. I asked around and somone told me that older cell phones used midi format as the sound file those had the ascending feature. I guess new phones dont do that. But i really miss it. o-well.

If you felt like putting some effort into it, you could create your own ring tone, and ramp the volume up as it progresses, and send it to your phone...
