as for direct send picture: if you are 2waying a d.send pic capable phone ( i know the 870 is), you just hit browse during the 2way and find the pic you want to send. keep in mind its only free till the end of this month, then theyre gunna charge the 25cents that it would cost to send an mms pic msg.
as for direct talk: my 870 lags when it switches...but its never really reset. your best bet...add the $3/month insurance, find a nextel repair rep and they will do a service swap in teh store for you.

Thanks I did end up having the phones swaped in teh store.
But Still no luck with the Direct Send even though Nextel says the i275 does have that feature

i just found this online:
"Direct Send Picture is now available on the recently announced Motorola i870, and will be included on all future Nextel phones. Software upgrades to enable Direct Send Picture will also be rolled out over the coming weeks for select Nextel phone models already in the market including the Motorola i850, i760, i560, i355 and i275."

you may need to call cust svc and have them update the software on your phone or whoever your sending to.
also, i know my 870 has direct send picture on/off under DC/GC options in settings.
other than that im not to sure, being that i have no experiance with that model.

if you can, you should prolly return it if your not takin advantage off all that 'stuff'. if not, ebay it.
id recommend getting an 870 if you want something besides the 275...870 is really the best phone ive used...and ive used 730, 860, 560, 930, 870 for nextel.

the 710 (i believe) has old school web-based messaging.
as for the 870, its only $230 through telesales right now when u resign contract. without resigning, youre better off on ebay but its gunna run you around 350 for a new one shipped with sim.
