View Full Version : My only complaint with the 9000

They put the Calendar and Alarm features together, so you cannot have different settings for each. It would be nice to be able to set my calendar events to the tone that simply says "check your schedule" and set my alarm clock to a loud song. Not being able to do this wouldn't be so bad except for the fact that when you set your phone to Vibrate for when you are at a meeting, everything vibrates (ringer, text, voicemail) EXCEPT for the calendar events, which just blares out whatever tune you have it set to. It wasn't like this with my 7300, hopefully they will release an update to change this.

I just got the 9000 yesterday also. My only complaints are that you can't use mp3's from your memory card as a ring tone and you can't set a video as the wallpaper (atleast I didn't find out how yet).

My uncle has the LG VX8100 for Verizon and it can do all that. I think both phones are great compared to eachother. but there's just little things I like better about the 9000 and things I like better about the VX8100.

you have to goto settings > ringer/key vol > calendar/alarm and set it accordingly...
the side buttons in standby mode only control the ringer volume unless you put it on silence all.

Yea, but it still sucks bc the whole idea of the schedule/calendar is to remind you of things that you normally wouldnt remember to do (at least for me anyway) and I use the alarm feature every morning. So its just a pain to have to switch it to vibrate in the day and back to a tone before bed.

Is there any Sanyo that has the external display on while making a call? I've seen some Samsungs and LG's do this, but I can't find a option to do this on the 7400. This may sound kind of goofy, but I think it looks kind of cool with the sub display on with flip open, even though it's just another battery drain.
