A cool feature on the 7500 is that you can set the length of the alert for voice messages or text messages. You can set it anywhere from 1 to 59 seconds. On my previous sanyos you could only select the "once" or "repeat" modes and even when you selected the "once" option the alert would still go off several times which could be annoying in meetings or quiet places. I have set my text alert to three seconds. Works good.

i don't know, i can't see how to do this on my 7400. i only have the option to set once or repeat. what am i missing?
i don't think it could. not from what i can recall though.

no, the 7400 couldn't do that. the 7400 only lets you set it to notify you once, or repeatedly; but not the length of the notice.
to my knowledge its just the newst generation of phones, like the A900, 9000, 7500, etc.
