I have been with Sprint now for over 4 years. I pay them $120 a month for one line. My recent 2 year agreement ended about 5 days ago. I really want to get the Treo 650 for my business and want to know if there is ANYWAY to get that phone from sprint even if its refurbished without paying for it and if so a minimal amount. What do you guys suggest? I have great credit and never missed a payment. No problems with them at all. I also bought all my phones at the store brand new without the whole rebate thing. Will all this go in account for something?

Any suggestions would help greatly. Thanks guys

Hi, I'll give my two cents, not an expert on this but from other posts and my experience you should be able to get a good amount of the way there.

I am not sure if you have dealt with Retention aka Selectice Services today they called themselves Account Services, but be ready to have to call in at least 3 different times and expect to get 3 different offers on phone/plans etc.

I have a low price plan $30 and my folks are at $70 for two lines I have called three times with different plan offers. I would suggest talking to them and saying that you would like to stay with Sprint but you need a new phone and want to know what they can do for you on that phone. In my case, I told them I wanted to get a A920 for myself and my folks, the first rep I spoke with not only gave me the $150 credit which you should be eligible for if you have not changed phones in two years but they also offered to knock $100 off each phone = 3 A920's for $50 each and they waived activations.

If you get a good offer either take it or MAKE SURE THEY DOCUMENT IT on your account, because on the next call they may not offer you a deal at all. Assuming you have had the same phone and have such a high dollar plan I would think you should at least be able (after a couple tries) to get what I did off the phone, don't know if they might go higher.

While you are at it you might as well see if they can reduce the cost of your plan since $120 seems like something they could work with you to reduce assuming you don't have lots of freebies already. They have some large minute retention plans and possibly 5, 10 or more % discounts are possible.

Its more likely to get a discounted plan and pay a bit for the phone than to get the phone free. As far as I know sprint will NOT sell refurbished phones so unless you want to go the ebay route or maybe radio shack thats out.

Its best to negotaite a "bill credit" on top of the instant rebate and then add in a nice lowering of your monthly bill to get the best cost savings. You can make out much better in the long run though you may pay $100 more for the phone now.

You never know what you will get offered untill you call and ask :)

If you have been a customer for that long, go to http://www.sprintrebates.com/track/sprintpcs/index.jsp input your info, and see.
You probably qualify for $150 instant rebate on any phone you want, at a Sprint store.
Get the phone, call CS to have it activated (don't let the store do it!), and they'll port in your phone number (ESN swap). You may also qualify for some nice freebies with a new 2yr reup.

i just logged in today . . .however i hope am not late . . . if you have not changed your fone from the day you have signed up for sprint, you could have a 150 dollar rebate for your new fone. so if you would like that fonbe, at leat you would not be paying the whole amount and you would be having a 150 dllar discount right? =)
