i currently have the regular vision plan on my account and
i was wondering if i will be additional charges if i use vision on an evdo phone?
or will it be the same as normal...no casual usage/additional charges?

Well it you have a regular Vision plan, sprint may force you to get a PV Plan. Either way you should get unlimited web. But there's a good chance they might switch you over.

In that case no. I know a couple of people who did a ESN swap, and still have the RV plan, and they didnt get charge for using PV on the EVDO phone.
For the most part you should not get charge, anyone one else can confirm this?

:wavey: I did not get charged when I did an ESN swap from the 5600 to the 9000
They tried but I would not go for it. FYI- I do keep an eye on my plan though.

if the OP was able to do an ESN swap successfully and keep his old plan, he should be fine...easiest way for you to tell is to listen to your free Sirius hits channel for 2 minutes today, then call tomorrow and ask *2 if there are any charges to your account for the current period...don't ask about data charges specifically to avoid raising red flags...
btw, I have an old vision plan that I kept on the line with my Sanyo 9000 and have been using EVDO for free since October...I think you will be fine, at least for the time being...

When I went to buy the A900 I was told I could use my vision plan. Then in conversation with CS I was told the A900 wouldn't work on a vision plan and I HAD to upgrade to PV. I used Vision for a week on the A900 without any problems. My last phone conversation was with a Retentions rep about my plan and she also told me that I couldn't use Vision, and while there are no charges yet, eventually the system would charge me data rates.
I finally gave in and chose a PV plan in exhange for a bunch of free add-ons to my plan. However I never did see any data charges on my most recent invoice.... :frustrate
