a920 Picturemail Hell!

So ive seen this posted somewhere around here a few days ago but i cant seem to find it again so im just gonna make a new post.I cant seem to send or receive any picturemail on my a920 for some reason.I have the lateset upgrades and what not but it still isnt working.I know other people are having this problem so does anyone have any way of fixing this by any chance becase its killing me :bang: .

:irked: mine sends pics to pending folder. i have to turn off phone and turn back on and try to send it again, i have reste my phone numerous times, take batterry off for 10 minutes. and yet, it keeps doing the same, its starting to get in my nerves already, its not cool to restart your phone everytime you pic didnt go throught!!. and and how come only 900's are getting updates? whats up with us 920's and some 940's?. i thinking seriusly about taking my phone back to the store and tell them its defective!! :irked: hopefully they might want to exchange for a 900...

A-theres one member who called tech support and the tech reset his data or something like that.

I have the same issue. The weird thing is that I can "upload" to my account and then send it from there but can't send anything directly. Let me know if you find out what the deal is.

the first rep. i was talking to put me on hold for over 30 min then i got hung up. im on the phone again waiting, i got plenty of time. heck i could be calling CS everyday till they get it fix :lol:

well, what you know,, F*&^%* arrogant rep told me to take POS phone to the store to get it reprogramed. i swear to god, this is my last samsung phone!!

i doubt very much that its a problem that's going to be fixed by reprogramming. Because its so widespread, its got to be either a problem with the phone's software or with PV itself. So, it looks like we're going to need an update.. 920 users unite!!!! :lol:

ok, my phone is working right for the first time!, it doesnt send pics to pending folder anymore. i DO NOT know how this happened or for how long its gonna last. :fingers:

I have had the picturemail problem since the second week after I purchased the A920. Turning the phone off, and on, will generally result in moving pictures from Pending to Sent about 2/3 of the time.

I have been unsuccessful in actually reaching a Tech rep., having been disconnected several times after about a 30 minute wait on hold.

My friend has an a920 with this problem. Restarting the phone usually helps it. HOWEVER, I heard in the A900 thread that you could just go and sign out of Pwr Vision, then go to the Pending box and hit "resend". I tried that on my friend's A920 and it works!

try sending pics now, i have send 6 pics to my email and they all go trhught quick.

I've had this problem with my A920 since I bought it. If you don't use Power vision or the media player and take and send pics they'll go thru with no problem. If you use power vision or the media player, then take pics they won't go through unless you turn the phone off, take the battery off, turn it back on, then they go through right away. I've been told by tech 2 support that they know about it and should have a fix on the next programming upgrade.

Hopefully they'll fix it. The A700 had the same problem when it first came out and was fixed with an upgrade.

I don't know about u guys, but the Bell Mobility (Canada) Samsung A920 came out the same time as the sprint A920 and there is nothing wrong with the picture mail. So far I have sent about 20 pictures fine to various people and emails and there hasn't been any issue.

There was an update for the A920 like the first week after i purchased mine. A friend's girlfriend bought one a few weeks after i did and i tried to hook her up with the latest update but it already had it. I guess they update them at the store too, there's no way it was shipped from factory in that time frame.

My picture mail has worked fine from the beginning. Although I do know some people that live near me who were having similar problems.

dont pay attention to my old posts. yeah sure i was mad my phone didnt send pics and i even said my phone is a POS.. but the good news is my phone is working!! now i can say my phone is perfect :D

Reading through the thread, the only fix given is to turn the phone off, remove battery, turn back on, or do not use power vision and media player. Anybody who has claimed they have fixed their phone, how did you do it? I called tech support and got transfered to level 2 or advanced tech support, and he just had me turn my phone off, remove battery for 1 min, turn phone back on and it worked. I'd hate to do that everytime I want to send pictures!

I wish I had come across this forum and thread sooner, I may have had some hair left. :lol: I have had my 920 for a month now and have yet to have the picture mail work. I did as the previous posters suggested and turned the phone off, removed the battery, and restarted. I then tried to resend the pictures in the pending folder and they sent! I sent them from my phone to my phone to see if the complete cycle was working properly and it was flawless. I am assuming someone is working on a software update for this problem. I tried to do the update through the phone and it replied that I have the most current version of the software already.

Thanks EDGE, for the heads up, for the first time my pic. mail works flawless now on my 920. Now both my 900 and 920s pic. mail works :clap:Well, my 920s picture mail is starting to do the same ol crap :irked: WE NEED A S/W UPDATE!! :fingers: What are they waiting for?

yeah, i still have the problem as well. There was an app that appeared to help it out, but once i downloaded other apps it started going to pending again... One thing that seems to be working temporarily is to keep the phone open and not press ok when it tells you that your picture is being sent.. At least, not until the PV shows that its inactive again. That seems to be working for now, but i definitely think that its something Sprint needs to fix with a SW update...

My A920 ALWAYS has this problem. I remmber someone said to DISABLE PV and then it will work, so that is what I have been doing since I got the phone to get my pics out of the pending folder.
