I just got an A900 recently and upgraded to the $15 Powervision service. I was under the impression that it included picture mail, but I am not sure....
Can anyone put it in simple terms? With the $15 option, am I charged for sending picture mail?
It also seems like there are so many additional services that cost money: media player TV: ESPN etc...
It sort of irks me that I have tons of access to cool features, but everything is an additional monthly charge!
So is the $15 powervision option just basic web access?
Thanks folks....

From the brochure in front of me:
$15 Sprint Power Vision Access Pack
>Unlimited Web/Data Access
>Streaming LIve News Channel/ABC News Now
>Streaming Radio Channel/SIRIUS Music
Also says there are movie trailers from Fox Film, NBC Universal, and Warner Bros.
The picture pack is $20 and includes NFL Network and FOX Sports on top of what's included with the Access Pack.

gotcha- that is the information I had, but it is pretty brief....
So I would have to upgrade to the $20/month powervision plan in order to not be charged for each picture/video mail?
Do you know what each picture/video sent would cost without the $20/month option?

You may be able to add picture mail for $5 right from your phone but don't hold me to that. Not sure exactly what happens on PV phones. If not it'd be .02/KB which on a 200KB picture would be $4.00.

I had better call cs because I don't want to end up with a huge bill without being aware ...

that's what I'd do...I just know that on older 1x phones if you don't have pic mail when you go to send a pic the phone promps you to add pics for $5/mo right there.

I was never prompted- I just set up a picture mail password and started using it right away...
But I am on the first free month of powervision- I may halt using the feature until I get my bill...

Are you sure you are on the $15/month PV on your first month free? I got two A900's last Sunday and my month free is the $20/month PV that includes picturemail (I believe it is called the Powervision Plus pack).

On my A900 with the $15/mo PV pack, if I try to access picturemail, it tells me I need to subscribe for $5/mo and asks if that's what I want to do. Sounds like your phone is on the $20/mo plan.

They stick you on the $20 a month plan for the first month unless you say you want it otherwise.

Do you get all chanels with the $25 package ?
No, you do not get Sprint TV Live, which is the only package with all of the live channels included, in any of the EVDO plans...it is as separate $9.99 a month add on...

I have the $20 a month PowerVision Plus plan including pic mail.
From what I've heard, Sprint recently started charging for handset upgrades but I've also seen that if you wait til your bill comes out with the $18 charge, call up CS and contest the charge saying you were told it wouldn't cost you anything to upgrade your phone. That usually works.
Nope, no PV for free here. :( Try as I might, every agent told me that because it's such a new service they do not have any codes to offer discounts or anything.

I would also like to know if picture mail is included in $15 PV plan
Check this page out almost implies that it is included.

<edit>
That looks like it's for VISION Plus and Ultimate ONLY not for Power Vision, does that mean with my family plan I need Power Vision (as I can't turn off Power Vision and keep Vision on for regular internet traffic..aka browsing in Opera Mini) , Vision Plus, on three phones which means:
15
15
7.5
7.5
7.5
+7.5
-----
60
An extra $60/mo just so I can offload my pictures from both phones to _something_ (due to no USB support on the 920), which I feel is pretty unacceptable... calling cust serv to find out more I will update...

BTW,.... FIRST POSTY... been lurking for awhile
