I just recieved an email from Sprint... :headbang2

Dear Edward,

I have removed the $8.00 Text Messaging plan as per your request. Now,
you have $10.00 Unlimited Text Messaging plan added to your service
plan.

You will get this plan free for one year and will be charged $10.00
after that.

Thanks.

How awesome? I guess I'll have to wait until my bill though as I was previously told there was no code for free unlimited text messaging. But how sweet? All I asked was for the 500 text plan to be switched back to the $10 unlimited plan (which I had before the price increase but somehow got switched to the 500plan)

Wait...Im confused here. When I switched to the a900 they had to take my unlimited txt off because it was attached to my 1x vision and i was switching to power vision. So I ended up having to switch to the $8 500 txt. Are you saying that I can get it switched to $10 unlimited? I thought it was $15 for unlimited?

Wirelessly posted (LGE-MM535/1.0 UP.Browser/6.2.3.7.e.1.101 (GUI) MMP/2.0)

It changed to $10 for unlimited on 01/19, only if you have a Vision plan though... If not, it is $15.

awesome, thanks for that info.

just emailed ecare to get the $10...let's see what they say later (would be nice if its free like the OP'er but just saving $5/mo is $60/year, and I'll be plenty happy with that!)

I only have the $10 vision access pack, since my 6601 doesn't have a camera.

I"m sorry for bumping an old thread...
But what has happened to this deal. Is it still going on and does it have to brought up to the rep? And is this for regular vision only?
I'm asking because I pay full price for txt/power vision. $20 for vision and $15 for unlim. txt

I have free 500 texts. So far I have not needed more. However, I am starting to text more and more each month.

I called reguarding unlimited txt msg and they told me they dont offer it for free even though many reps I have spoke to at CS have offered it to me. I have PCS Vision and they are charging me 15.00 a month for unlimited txt. Guess im getting screwed.

Yup, super major one too!!! $15/mo for unlimited text is for the competitors to charge ... not a Sprint customer! Aya!

I guess I should be happy with $5.00 for unlimited. But I wonder what will happen if I switch to power vision?

This is one of the reasons why I'm never changing plans... I'm on an old 2000 minute plan with Vision/SMS included on all lines.

I'm constantly amazed how uncompetitive Sprint is with their pricing... $15 for Unlimited SMS... $5 for 30 minutes F&F? (Wow.)

You are going to get screwed, dude. Bad stuff. They were going to charge me $15/mo for unlimited with a courtesy discount of $5/mo to offset the charges. Highway robbery!

$5 dollars for 30 minutes on a f&f plan? I thought 5 bucks should buy anyone on that plan a 100 minutes. I guess your plan is old.

ack, I don't see what's the point of giving them a call. I'll call and say hey, drop my unlimited txt's to 10 bucks. They'll say, "why? you know it already cost $15. Same price you have BEEN paying."
booooo...
That's bad though, because if it's part of the pricing, they should have done it automatically than let me research it on my on. I feel betrayed.

I guess I'm too old to understand the text messaging thing, but why do people pay for text messaging if you have vision you have an email address and can type emails on your phone and send to other people, and its free.

Also it is easier for non-techies as there is no setup nonsense, worrying about email servers, passwords, authentication, etc. Otherwise its pretty equivalent to fast, push emails. Most current phones cannot do push email.

I don't have F&F - I have F&CA - A much better deal IMHO. I also get Vision/SMS for free included within my plan... its not an addon... Its hardcoded into the plan.

I was referring to Sprint's current F&F pricing; they raised it significantly. Go have a look at the Plans page.

I still think carriers here should switch to per-second billing like the carriers in the UK ... That'd be a good add-on option. It'd certainly reduce my minute usage 25%.
