I just last night bought a 9000 to replaced my 5600 because of the camera issues. When I push the web key sometimes it will connect, sometimes not, sometimes time out. I have been able to connect to the music store only once today and it took about 1-3 min for the page to come up and I finally get an error message. I was expecting a much better experience than the one i am having now. The web on my 5600 was MUCH better(faster, Connected everytime). Does anyone know why this could be happening?! Thanks!

since 9000's are very hard to come by, i am making teh assumption that it is used or reconed.... try updating your vision profile. if that doesnt work call sprint from a landline this way they can have you do stuff to your phone. also since you're in philly, there may be some damage to the system after yesterdays storm
good luck. 9000 is a great phone

No it is not used. I bought it at Radio Shck last night. They had 2 left. Storm might have something to do with it. Thanks...I love this phone as well

If you are getting "Error 3000 Network Timeout" whenever EV-DO (the small triangles) tries to connect, you may have a common problem that a number of us have suffered from. Unfortunately, the solution is not clear.
A workaround is to ask a Vision/Data technician to give you your Mobile Subscriber Lock (MSL) so that you can force your phone into 1x Only mode. In this mode, the phone does not attempt to use EV-DO (small triangles) but instead uses regular 1xRTT (the arrows). Internet access may not be much faster than on the 5600, but at least it will work.
You can switch to 1x Only Mode (and then back to Hybrid Mode) by pressing
##3282# ('3282' stands for DATA)
and then selecting the Hybrid Mode menu. (It will ask you for your MSL before actually going to the choices.)
This is of course a workaround. For some of us, the Network Timeout problem went away after about a week. Another guy got it fixed by working for a couple of hours with a Vision technician.

I would agree your issue is probably storm related...I've been using a 9000 in NYC for months and it works unbelievably well...so much faster than regular vision I can't even compare the two...I had some issues briefly a night or two ago probably related to the storm as well...I'd say my EVDO works flawlessly about 99% of the time, so I'm sure your issue, whatever it is, will probably resolve itself, or a sprint data rep can help you fix the problem...
you will love the 9000 coming from a 5600...I made the same transition...
