i was wondering if i called sprint and told them that i lost my phone so i could get another 1 but a diffrent kind..and i didnt like the phone they gave me would i be able to turn back the phone i said i lost

Do you have the TEP insurance on your acct?
If so, your phone will can be replaced with a $50 deductable....
If not, you are going to get anywhere with this. This would like me calling Ford, and asking them to give me another F-150 b/c I lost mine.

i have insurence...i was asking this question because i have a friend and he always loses his phone and gets brand new 1s that just came out for 50$

the quick answer, no, and no.
You pay $50 deductable, and will get a refurbished, or sometimes a new phone of the same make and model that you lost. On the chance they are no longer available you will get what they want to send you, basically a phone with the same features only.
Once you report the phone lost you cannot use it any longer, the ESN now belongs to them, and cannot be activated on an account, until they release it, if and when they want to.

Yeah, insurance is not an upgrade program! If you actually lose your phone they will send you the model of phone you have and absent that one being available they send you one that is the closest to what you had before.
