So ive read just about all the threads and tutorials about making my own ringtones wether it be .mp3 or .qcp, and when i upload them to my a920 they sound completely rediculous.By rediculous i mean they sound distorted and quiet no matter what bit, khz, or setting i upload them in :frustrate . Any suggestions on making them so they sound clear and have a similar volume to ringers that i can d/l from sprint? It may sound stupid but its just boggling my mind and i had to ask...

I use audacity to fix all my ringtones ... There are other pieces of software out there that will also do the same thing ... just takes some trial and error ...

By the way .. don't use qcp format ... your phone sound smuch better with M4a (aka AAC) ringers. You can convert your MP3 or wavs to MP4 using dbpoweramp. Then change the file extension from MP4 to M4a .. then upload.
