I would like to know what questions do they ask to verify if you work for the company, because I have my phone under my mom's name but I work for Burger King and I would like to get the 15% discount, if it's not possible to get it because is not under my name, is there any way sprint allows custumers to transfer the account to someone else... like my mom just transfering it to me so I would be the user in the account... and one more thing, for what does the discount applies? just the service or everything altogether? thank you very much.
The account has to be in your name to get the discount you qualify for.
You would need to do a "transfer of liability" to your name and sprint would run your credit to see if you qualify and under what terms. This is done at the sprint store with both yourself and your mother being there with photo ID.
The discount applies to all "monthly re-occuring charges" which inclused your base plan, additional features such as paid 7pm nights and vision and also the cost of the insurance. It does NOT apply to charges that are billed on a "per use" basis such as casual text messages, casual vision useage and overages on your plan minutes.
Hope that helps!

In order to get the discount I had to identify the company that I work for that qualifies, my name, the name of my boss and his phone number. Sounds like your case may be complicated by the phone being in her name, but you can try.
The billing party is supposed to be the person who qualifies for the discount. You may get the discount on the bill with the account in another persons name but if sprint decided to verify employment you would lose the discount and MAY be charged back what they had discounted you in "error!"
The best option is to go legit and just transfer the account into your own name :tu:

When you ask for a business discount, the CSR will ask for the name of your supervisor, the supervisor's phone number, and the business' address.
I have let people list my name and work phone number for the corporate discount and no one from Sprint has ever called me to verify.
They will also change your account from a personal account to a business account, and switch your billing cycle to coincide with the billing cycle of the business that you are asking the discount for.
If you want to change the name on the account, they will have to do a 3rd party call with the current owner of the account to authorize the change, and do a credit check on the person that the account will be billed to.
In your situation, the easiest thing to do would be for your mother to call Sprint and ask for the discount. When they ask for her supervisor's name, address, and phone number, she could give them your name, work phone number, and address. They probably won't call, but if they do, you can verify that she works there.

what does that do to your account? (having it switched from a personal account to a business account) does it change anything on your plan, prices for options, getting the $150 rebate, etc? or is it simply a 'status' thing as to how they label your account? i'm in the military (navy) and would like to receive a discount, but don't know how to do it or what will happen with my account when i do.

That's a question you need to address to Sprint.
It was in the late-1990's when I let people who worked for me, list me as their supervisor for purposes of getting a corporate discount from Sprint. They all work elsewhere now. The point is that no one from Sprint has ever called me to verify their employment since then. What makes you think that they will call to verify now?
Sprint doesn't have enough people answering inbound calls without making you wait. They surely don't have the resources to initiate outbound calls to verify customer information. Especially years after the fact.

You are correct. I was just wondering about the same. I know that I did the same with some of my previous staff. They are long gone, but I didn't know if one day sprint did try to call and verify status etc...? Thank you for your reply and info.

Not sure if this question goes here but:
Are the discounts commulative (eg, family account and two parents have two separate jobs that both have corporate discounts, can they add up?)?

No, you are allowed one business discount per account, and the party that the account is billed to is generally supposed to be the eligible person. They may give a loyalty discount and then add a business discount though.

Hey I was wondering if there anyway that Krystal's Resturants can get discounts to. I know a few District Supervisors that use Sprint for Business purposes. These resturants are in the Florida area and in other states. If someone can check this out I really would appreciate it. I work for them and have been with them for 4yrs and 6 months now. I would love to recieve a business discount to. Would help me out with my budget.
