Yeah, I’m having the same issue. When I first get the video I hit view and the phone freezes up. I have to take the battery out. Then when I go back to my inbox I can see the thumbnail of the video, but nothing happens when I try to select it. Oddly we can send to Verizon though. One of my friends sent back a video that I had sent to him (it was one I converted from the computer, not one take with on the phone) and it came through fine. so I almost think its something with the encoding that the Verizon handsets use that makes it not work; not necessarily the Verizon network.
Anyone else?

Okay, I just found this topic! I am experiencing EXACTLY the same thing. Send video to Verizon customers just fine. When they send one to me, it will arrive in my picturemail account online and in the phone.

Note that from my PC, I can log into my picturemail account and play the video just fine, so I know that the video being corrupt isn't the issue.

However, in the phone it will only show the thumbnail and not let me play the video. Some times when I get a video it will get stuck on the "New Picture Mail" screen, with "View" on the left soft-key, and "Exit" on the right one. Unfortunately neither works, and the phone is locked up. Have to take the battery out to resolve this.

Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. Or if you did in the past, what did you have to do to get it fixed? Is this a known issue with Sprint and Verizon??

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!!

So you are saying that you can't even recieve pictures in picturemail from Verizon?

Have you tried logging on to your account on your computer to see if the pictures/videos show up there?

I can recieve pictures from my friends on Verizon on my Sanyo 9000, but I can't recieve their videos. And some times when I view the video message notification (not the message) it locks up my phone. I haven't tried this yet with any other provider other than Sprint and Verizon.

As stated before, I can send both pictures and videos to my friends on Verizon and they recieve and view both just fine. It seem a little unfair to me... :td:

i've had problems recieving videos from on friend with verizon. the phone freezes up and reboots. he has a LG phone. I have another verizon friend with a motorola phone and i have been able to recieve and play videos from him; so i think its not necassarily a verizon issue, but maybe a model issue. Maybe LG uses a slightly different CODEC to encode its 3GP videos.
I've been recieving pictures from verizon folks just fine (my dad sends pics daily). a few months ago i had the same problem as Deval in that i would find pictures in my on-line inbox that never made it to my phone. but that wasn't just verizon senders and it ended up resolving itself in after like a week or 2.
