I was wondering if anyone knows about the sprint sidekick?
I saw someone using an unfamiliar phone that looked similar to the t-mobile sidekick, and I asked them what service it was and they said SPRINT!
So...obviously there's a sidekick that sprint has now, and I am eager to find out the exact name of it so that I can buy it.
Does anyone at all know anything about this phone?

Call your local Sprint stores and see if they have any "returned" phones (these are phones that people return within the 14-day period)... you may come across one.
They are 50% off.

In order for you to get the 50% off the returned/used phones at a Sprint retail store, you have to qualify. You can not be elgible for ANY rebates, handset must be voided, lost , or stolen. The returned/used phone does require a new 2 year agreement as well. It's only on selected returned models, so don't go in the sprint store expecting any model. It's hit or miss on the model you choose.

Why would you want the Sidekick over a Q, Treo, PPC? There is nothing better with the Sidekick then any other PDA. It is a Fad-Device. A device people buy to be part of a trend. Not everyone but most people.

uhh no it isnt.
R. Kelly clearly has a nokia and Usher has a flip you can hear the closing flip sound it makes and his hands making the movement, they dont even have a close up of Usher's phone. It's R. Kelly's phone that you think is 'the sidekick,' hes calling usher. look closer.

no SuPreme1 is talking about the phone r.kelly has in the car with usher. and your talking about the phone in the beginning of the video. but i looked closer while they were in the car and r.kelly's phone is a sony that slides up looking like a sidekick. =]

The problem with the Sidekick it doesn't have all that many features for a PDA-type phone. Danger keeps creating the Sidekick with barely any new features as a way to stay alive. The company doesn't make anything else.
And T-Mobile gives these stupid things away to any Celeb, knowing that there is people who have no mind of their own. So when they see Paris Hilton with it, then go crazy and want it. Have you held the Sidekick in your hand? It's like talking into a shoe box. It's basically big for nothing.
Sprint could get it, but they won't waste their time. Not when they can sell a full PDA for around the same price as a Sidekick.
Some may like it, I don't. I would rather have a full PDA, with the full software on the phone itself. Not on the server. I want an OS where I can download tons of software app's.
The Sidekick is just a teen toy.

Sprint can't get it. Tmobile as an exclusive contract with danger for within the US

You see everyone having one these days. I was at a meet 2 weeks ago in NY, and at least 5-7 of the people there were rocking sidekicks. I looked out of place with my Blackberry and Upstage
