Cannot debug even with MSL?

I'm trying to debug my phone. Just got off the phone with the sprint people who gave me my MSL and its saying its an invalid lock code. Do I need a field service code or should my MSL be working?

a good suggestion is to:

1) not call from the phone your trying to do anything on for obvious reasons

2) confirm it is correct during the call! The MSL they gave you COULD have been wrong, or if you punched the wrong one in too many times they have a different code to restore the phone.

I would call back and double check the info. The MSL is specific to the esn. I would note your esn before the call, so it can be confirmed also. What are you wanting to accomplish by "debugging" your phone? What kinda phone is it?

Chances are they gave you the OTKSL, the one-time activation code by mistake. This is very common.

on most samsung phones, the field debug code is 040793.
This IS NOT the MSL or lock code but a Service Code. Works on the two samsung phones i have:
A-920 and VGA100
allows you to get debug screen with SID/dBL levels, etc.

do the opposite
