First I hope this is in the right section as I hate being the noob. So I'm trying to get my phone to hook up to my computer via USB. I've tried the Sanyo drivers, Datapilot drivers, and Future Dial drivers. None working so far. They worked fine with Windows 2000. Now that I'm using XP, all it does is recognize "Data Interface" twice when I connect the phone to my computer. Yet it wont let me use the drivers I have when using the add new hardware wizard on pop after the connection. Can I get some help please. Its 2am and this is driving me crazy that I can't solve this issue. :frustrate

I have the 8300 & have XP. I used the drivers from futuredial. What software are you using to connect? I use Bitpim version 8.02. The 8.03 version didn't work with mine. Also, I have to open the software, then connect my phone for it to recognize it (sometimes I've had to unconnect and reconnect a couple of times). I'm able to sync calendar, contacts both ways, but only send my computer ringers & pics, it won't send those to my phone.
Hope this helps.

Tried using system restore point and reinstalling the drivers. That didnt work either. This "Data Interface" bubble keeps poping up when I plug the phone in. It's driving me crazy that windows wont let me use the right drivers that i have.

again, i dont remember what the code is. do a search on here for sanyo codes. there is a menu where there is a usb option. you select that and hit modem instead of composite and it will enable your phone to communicate with your computer. this will not, however, let you use #777, as it is still disabled on this model

##debug# > USB Mode > Composite
