I love Sanyos...

but I want to get my girlfriend a phone for Christmas and she does not like the 8300 or the 9000 (and definately not the 7500). . I would like to get her a good phone that has a megapixel camera, maybe an expandable memory port and is small for a purse.

I would get an a920 (perfect on features) but it is a samsung. Any news on new sanyo phones...should I wait til after Christmas for a different Sanyo or just get an a920? How much would I lose on the reception and call quality of the a920? I want opinions of Sanyo users who may have an a920 on their account or just people in the know...

I say try the 920. I was concerned about the same thing when replacing my friend's 7400 with a 920 so I definitely know exactly where you're coming from, but so far she loves it and it's performed well (aside from random PictureMail issues).

A920s RF and call clarity are excellent.

I am United-Continental, who are you?

The A920 has nearly the same RF and call quality as the MM-A800, which is top-of-the RF at Sprint, right there with Tbakers favorite 9000.
