Are you guys having problems using EV-DO/Power Vision services with your Sanyo MM-7500 or MM-9000 phones? I don't know if you know but we Samsung owners (A900, A920, A940) are getting all sorts of problems with our phones in regards to Power Vision services. I'm wondering if it's our phones or just the new EV-DO services that is the culprit.

my 9000 works fine. IMO... it's probably because you have a samsung.

my 9000 works perfectly...it is a Samsung bug you are dealing with, not a network-wide EVDO issue....

The 9000 works perfectly.
I used to have a Samsung SPH-a460. Man was that a peice of junk. I don't know if it was just that phone or what, but it didn't leave a good impression of samsung phones for me.
My sanyo 9000 seems like the greatest thing since sliced bread in comparison.

it seems that the samsungs are a harder time with EVDO...I've heard no complaints about the 9000 in terms of EVDO, and from what I hear about the 7500, its the same

A month ago, when I would drive near EV-DO territory, my MM-9000 had some difficulty switching between 1xRTT and EV-DO. I got various errors, and I complained about them in these forums.
But in the last few days, since EV-DO has been turned on in my home county, the situation has been far more pleasant. My phone still often switches between 1xRTT and EV-DO, as if the EV-DO signal is rather weak or spotty; but at least the switching between 1xRTT and EV-DO rarely causes errors.

How do you connect the 7500 to your PC to transfer music back and forth? When I plug it in with the USB cable, the computer doesnt recognize it, seems to want some additional software or something, have you had this problem? I have tried on three different computers, so I know its not the PC. Any help would be appreciated...

I had all kinds of errors with EV-DO when I first got my MM-9000 about a month ago. More recently, the only difficulty is that the phone still uses 1xRTT too often instead of EV-DO, as if the EV-DO signal in my area were rather weak (which may be true).

Deval, if you go to: http://musicstore.sprint.com/pcdownload/login.cgi and login with an activated MM-7500 on one's account, on the right there is an interesting link that says:
Backup Application (Sanyo MM-7500 only)
^This links to: http://backup.coremobility.com/sprintmusicstorebackup/download.html
It is under "FAQ's & Tools". Although, I have unfortunately yet made this work >_<

I wouldn't be surprised if it was... and until then, I'll be content with converting my songs to AAC format and uploading them via the net to my phone :)
