Hi, i'm new on the forum. I've had a Sanyo MM-5600 since its release and recently had all the memory erased due to some problems with the software on the phone. Well i have gotten it fixed, had to get all software reinstalled. But all my Contacts have gone as well.
All my contacts are in a VCard (.vcf) format which are also in my Outlook Contact Manager (Outlook 2003).
I read in a couple of places that i could connect the 5600 using this program called BitPim, so i download the latest version BitPim 0.8.03. And download the drivers needed. The driver installed the phone like a Modem functioning Propery under COM4 Port.
Now i plug in my phone and everything is fine. I open up BitPim click on Browse under the Ports and find COM4 as being detected. I click COM4 and then select the MM-7400 as the phone, for as i read people using the 5600 if selecting the 7400 BitPim should work without a problem. So now i OK everything and Import my Outlook Contact List to BitPim, imports without a problem.
Now i do the following:
Data->Send Phone Data->I check Phonebook
-And all i can click is Replace.
So then i OK it and it says busy on the bottom left and all of a Sudden an Unexpected Error pops on the screan and my phone stops working with a message on the screan telling me to call a phone number for technical assistance. I turn off my phone and turn it back on now it works fine.
Now i want to see if it detects the phone. So i click Edit->Detect Phone, and it tells me No phone detected/recognized. So i add 1 contact list manually into the phone and i try and do Get contact list (as in backing it up). So i click Data->Get Phone Date and i click Contact list and click on Add. And it detected and transfered the 1 contact no problem. I tried the same for ringtones and it worked also.
But for some reason i cannot update the contact list on my Phone. Can anyone please help me on how i can update my phone contact list without having to put them all in manually. If there are any other programs or anything that will work please help me with some information.
Thank you and all information is greatly appreciated.
EDIT:
Here is the error messege i get:
An unexpected exception has occurred.
Please see the help for details on what to do.
