I have the A900 phone and I have the Sprint Power Vision Ultimate Pack with my plan. Does the Power Vision Ultimate Pack not include SMS messaging (like receiving alerts & sending simple text messages from my phone)? I just got charged for a whole buttload of messages on my invoice.

In my past plan (the older Vision plan), it included unlimited wireless web messaging (shortmail) which I used to send text messages. I find it odd that the former Vision only costed me $15 while the new Power Vision I'm paying for ($25) doesn't include that.

That's my understanding of the new Power Vision Packages too; we loose alot of stuff that was included in the previous Unlimited Vision Packages. The biggest issue most users have had are the loss of unlimited SMS. I think you can add on 100/mnth for $5.
That's why many have decided not to give up their old Vision. It seems to be a roll of the dice to see if your CS person can swap your ESN w/o updating your plan when provisioning the handset. I lost, and had to update to the new Power package. I don't SMS too much so it's not an issue, but I want to see if the voice SMS is included in our service package. Anyone know for sure?

SMS is not included in the Power Vision plans. Yes, this bites the big one.

Regarding Voice SMS, there aren't any additional charges for that, so long as you have an SMS plan.

It does bite. I already tried getting my 5 dollar unlimited text messaging back without success. I even tried to see if I could get a discounted price and no go. The only good thing was I tried doing it through eCare and was able to get Mobile to Mobile and Unlimited Nights and Weekends starting at 7pm for free. A quick question though. I checked online and it says that I have them, but it shows a charge of $5 for each one. Does Sprint automatically credit me back at the end of my statement or is it suppose to show me in my Plan Details that it's free?

I have a question then. We just ported over 2 numbers to Sprint. I got a Sanyo 9000 and my husband got the LG slider. I have the unlimited 1 month of Power Vision and he has 1 month unlimited regular Vision. Is it even possible to switch my phone to a regular Vision plan? Yeah the net is blazing on it, but I'll rarely use it.

Next question: If I am able to switch to regular Vision, is there some kind of special priced SMS add-on that I can get?

Thanks for any help!

SMS is as follows with Vision or Power Vision:

$5 for 100 messages
$8 for 500 messages
$15 for unlimited messages

But can I have just regular Vision and save $5 a month?

Well, yes and no... You have to find a rep who will do that for you. Most of them will probably try to tell you that you MUST have Power Vision on a Power Vision phone. It's not true but on their end it might even appear that way by now. I did read about someone who was able to go back to Vision after a rep moved him to PV without his permission.

:wavey: that was me... It took a few hours on the phone and multiple transfers, but I got my grandfathered stuff back!

Was there a particular number that you called. I just found out that the store rep did this to me without my approval and trying to get this changed back looks to be a nightmare! I talked to someone on the phone that kept telling me that I would need to have PV on my plan. Then he said he was going to switch me back and then poof he was gone (call disconnected). I just e-mailed e-care about my situation to see if they can restore my old plan. Thanks for any help and details you can provide or am I even going the right route.:fingers:
