Okay I purchased my a900 last Sunday so I've already had it for a week now. So far so good. I'm not even thinking about returning this phone. It's a keeper! I change phones a lot and say I'm going to keep one longer than the other but cmon that never happens. lol. Well all I have to say about the blade is that something even better has to come out for me to give up this phone! I would list my previous history but that would take forever so here are a list of some of the phones I had this year: Sanyo 5500, LG 325, Sanyo 200, Sanyo 2300, Sanyo 8100, Samsung MM-880, Samsung MM-800 and a Sanyo 5600. Like I said I can't stay with one for long! Okay onto my review of the blade:

First Impressions: Wow this phone is so slim! Once the lady came from the back room with my a900 I was truly amazed with how it looked. Yeah there was the Razr but honestly I wasn't that impressed with it. The blade stood out more for some reason. It was already saying, "Buy me...you know you want to." lol

Feels/Hands On: This phone felt so good in my hand once I picked it up. I even tried holding it up to my ear like I was talking on the phone (the lady thought I was crazy ...aren't we all?) just to see if it felt right. Of course it did. The blade has this weight on it but it's perfect. Also I was afraid that it would have a plastic feeling because on the forums people were assuming it would but it's made of anodized aluminum so it's not cheap at all! The only thing is that when it's cold the phone can get cold! Especially up on your face! Burrrrrrr!

Screen: Truly amazing. QVGA. What can say? :headbang2

Reception: I have to say that the blade is about the same reception as the Samsung MM-A800. I never dropped a call with that phone and never once with the blade ever since I got it. Hopefully it stays that way! :fingers: With the Sanyo 5600 I got excellent reception but I did get some dropped calls. So I guess I'm lucky to never have a drop call yet with the blade.

Sound & Call Quality: Although the blade's speakers aren't as loud as Sanyos (especially the 5600) it has some pretty good speakers. I have put AAC ringers on my phone and they sound loud and clear! I also listened to some of my MP3's through the speaker and they sound pretty loud. When on speakerphone I feel like it's full duplex (no one really knows for sure if it is half or full) people cannot even tell I'm on speakerphone! They can hear me just fine! Even when I'm driving they can hear me well! One thing I'm concerned about with the speaker is that once you put it up past level 5 on the volume setting the sound can be a little too loud. When talking on the phone everyone sounds clear and they can hear me just fine too. I truly love this because when I had the 5600 sometimes I couldn't make out what people were saying because the darn thing was just too loud and their voices became distorted! I haven't had any problems in this area with the blade and this is something that's important to me because I talk on the phone a lot so I have very happy with the quality. Tip: Use the headset that came with the phone. I used my old headset (plantronics) and it sounded horrible! So now I just use the Samsung ones. They sound excellent with the blade.

Mp3s: I couldn't figure out how to put my mp3's on my phone when I first got it. Stupid me just put the usb into my laptop and wondered why it wasn't doing anything. Duh! I forgot with samsungs you need drivers! I could have easily done it with Bluetooth but I don't have that on my laptop nor do I know how to use it yet. Anyway I finally got my Mp3's on the phone and yes I was a bit disappointed that you can only put about 10 songs on the blade but I was fully aware of this before I even purchased the phone. The songs sound great through the speaker and even better when listening to them through the stereo headset that came with the phone.

UI, Keypad & Customization: Samsung UI's are impressive. They are better than Sanyos in my opinion. A lot of animation which I love and I think people love it when they see it on the phone. The keypad feels really nice when you are dialing. Oh and dialing font! I love this with Samsungs! They hae a choice of: Basic, Feather, and Post it. The basic is just the multicolor font. The feather and post it are awesome! When dialing a feather appears to be writing the numbers on screen! Reminds me of Harry Potter! weeeeeeeeee! hehe. The post it dialing font is also nice and when dialing post its smack onto a bulletin board. There is a lot of customization on the phone and customizing your favorites are also nice.

Bluetooth: I haven't tried this feature yet but I am planning on buying a bluetooth headset soon so I will update later.

Camera/Picture Quality: This phone comes with a 1.3MP cam. I think it's pretty clear and also takes great night shots! I mean I'm comparing it to the 5600. If you took a night shot with the 5600 good luck because it's really hard! The flash works really well in the dark too. Good lighting makes the photos look amazing though. So far I'm happy with the cam.

Okay so overall I love this phone. I give it a 9 out of 10. Course there's some flaws with the phone but what phone doesn't have em? I will be posting from time to time adding to this review for as long as I have the blade. If you're thinking about purchasing this phone hopefully my review gave you some info before buying it! You won't be disappointed though! Who wouldn't want a sexy slim phone with awesome features? ;)

hey guys! i finally decided to purchase a bluetooth headset. now this is my first one so i can't compare it to anything else. now bluetooth stuff is really expensive these days so i picked up a Jabra BT250v at Good Guys for $30. they're closing out so they had a fat sale. anyway, the bt headset was easy to pair with the phone. it comes with directions so you won't be lost. it's a 1.1 version but i heard you should get a 1.2 since that's what the a900 has. i believe the moto hs850 is a 1.2

What's inside the box: Jabra BT250v bt headset with internal rechargerable battery, 4 MiniGels (2 small and 2 standard), Charger/holder with belt clip, an AC power adapter and a user manual.

Sound Quality: Like I said I can't compare it to any other headset because this is my very first bluetooth. It's very clear when the phone is at your side. While I'm driving it's so clear and the other person on the other end can hear me very well. There are volume buttons on the headset too. Sound quality is very good. The only times where it becomes static is when you go too far from the phone. It allows you to be away from the phone from 30 ft. And you don't want to put the phone in your pocket because that's when major static comes in. Other than that the headset sounds very clear.

Style/Fit: Well this style is different from the other bluetooth headsets. I have enclosed a picture below. The fit feels great in my ear. I guess everyone has their own style of comfort so you'll have to decide what feels good to you. I like it because it feels right on my ear, it's black (matches my blade  ) and sometimes it feels like it's not even there! There's a blue blinking light and it looks cool but all bt headsets have a blue light incase you want to get a different one.

Overall I give this headset a 7 out of 10. It's very clear but I wish the range was better. I'd actually like to go into the next room and not hear any static. Oh well get what you pay for! hehe. i'm sure the more pricy headsets are bettey but since i am a college student i will have to deal. Well it works for me as long as the phone is nearby! :p (so I won't get any static.)

So I've had my phone for awhile now. I've done all the updates and most of them were fine and the last definitely elminated the phantom ringing. There are some side affects though which have annoyed me but not so much to change phones. I also purchased another bluetooth headset. I got the Motorola H3. Works pretty well with the blade. I get less static with it than my previous bt headset. I can also put it in my pocket without any static which is great! The only thing I don't like about it is that sometimes it would lose connection with my phone then I would have to pair it back again. Also when I pair back I have to turn my phone off and on again for it to pair successfully. That's a little annoying but I could live with it.

I also got this case that fits the blade: I call it ...If my blade was silver (http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showpost.php?p=913207&postcount=109)

Well I still don't have that itch for another phone yet. Probably when something better comes out. Currently the phones out right now do not appeal to me as much as the a900. The blade has bugs for sure...the test is if one can handle it. :)

lol. yep i went back to my blade after having the ppc-6700 for a couple weeks. the 6700 is an awesome device but i was just getting tired of lugging that brick around. perhaps i missed the thiness of the blade. anyway, i'm glad to have it back in my life. :p

my new blade is the "plastic version". i have to tell you it makes a whole lot of difference if you previously had the "metal version". when i took it out of the box it felt really light and i was like, "oh i forgot to put the battery in..that's why it's so light." well actually the battery didn't really make up that much difference. it was still really light! i sort of miss the feel of the metal one. felt good in my hands.

it performs very well with bluetooth. i haven't heard any static yet *knock on wood* and i hope i never do. i'm still using my motorola h3 and i'm pretty satisfied with its performance and battery life. not sure if the plastic battery cover eliminated static but all i know is that when i had my metal battery cover i would get some static with my bt headset but not so much where i couldn't use it because it would go away after awhile.

wow the title of this thread should be changed because i've had experience with the blade for about 4 months now! lol :p alright i'll keep updating. i've left the blade once and then came back. i'm sure more phones in the future will temp me but for now i'm good with my blade.
