Hey guys, i was in the market of a headset that would work with my 650, so i purchased the Motorola HS820 from Compusa on sale for 59.99 from its original 79.99 pricetag. brought it home and charged it for 2hrs that it required. after that was all said and done, i paired it up to my treo and made my very first call on it. dialed the number i heard nothing on my headset, so i pressed the answer/hangup button on the headset and it connects. puzzled on why it did this, i right away jumped onto my computer and went to www.palm.com to find out why. this is what i pulled up:

http://kb.palmone.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,Kb=PalmSupportKB,ts=Palm_External20 01,case=obj(39901)

so after seeing that, my new hunt was on. all the stores here carry motorola's, logitech, belkin, and some plantronics.. but i dont like the way those looked so i searched for the nokia. and at best buy, i found the HS-11w for 69.99, 10.00 more than i paid for my motorola. so i go to compusa after that to go take back the motorola, and i look at their headsets and found they just got in the brand new nokias, saw mine over there except it was an HS-26W. so i was excited, and bought that one from compusa, and ran back to best buy to return the HS-11w.

NOW ON TO THE NOKIA HS-26W REVIEW used on the TREO650

ok, first of, from its older model, its silver and gray color, with a smoked clear ear rubber. its about 1" longer than the HS820(moto) but a tad bit skinnier. the ear rubber piece is in a U shape that fits half of your ear and goes over the front of your ear connecting to the headset itself, very very comfortable, and i find it works best if you have ears somewhat like Will Smith, smaller ears might allow the headset to move around some and not fit snug.

Battery life:

its kinda too soon to tell bout this one, but it takes a 2-4hr charge but so far so good on battery life. i havent used it alot but i've been using it a pretty good amount. i'll elaberate on this more later on

Look:

looks very good, not as tiny as the Cardo Scala 500 or Motorola HS820, but its not an operator headset either..

Comfort:

it is very comfortable to the ear, like i said above, it works better with larger ears. its very light weight so i dont even know its on

Interface:

the buttons on here are very easy to use, you have your talk/end multfunction button, a volume joystick (left, right, push) button, push it down and you mute the conversation. and a dedicated power on and off button.

Paring:

one thing i like bout this is you turn on the headset for the first time, search for nearby devices on your treo, and it automatically finds it, you dont need to hold down any buttons for several seconds to put it in discover mode. also on making a call, it connects almost instantly with virturally no connection lag, very very nice.

Last but not least, Voice, Mic, Volume:

i can hear everyone very clear. with the motorola, i would get a clicking noise, with this, i get nothing. i dont think this has wind cancelation but i'll find out. on the mic side, no one knows im using a headset, until i ask them what they think and they get suprised when i say im on my headset.

This is my very first review on anything so excuse it if its kinda messy and repetative of some things..

i'll clean it up later this week for you guys and post more information and pictures :haha:
