Power Vision Picture Mail?

Ok guys so today i was very proud of myself i ordered an MM-A900 from telesales (which will arrive here hopefully on saturday as long as sprint's system goes back up). Anyways though i've been reading reviews of this phone and LOVE the sounds of it; however i read the picture/video mails come through as actual MMS messages and not as links to view them from sprint. Is this true?? :clap: If so can anyone give a review of this or say how well it works. Thanks in advance :fingers:

Yes it is true. All media sent to your phone is direct, now. Works well, although the option to save the media is not present.

It works great and is super fast with EVDO...I have received both pics and videos, and you just click the thumbnail to see them...really cool...

Oo that sounds very cool. I can't wait to try it, especially with EV-DO. Do you have the option of viewing it on the external screen as well (like some Verizon phones can)? But you can't save the media at all? At least with what i have now i have the option of permanently saving it to the phone... So once you receive it its only there until it's replaced by other media? That's mildly depressing.

I didn't even realize that, i'm really upset now. :indiff: Does anyone know if packages are available for pickup at a UPS center on saturdays?

Works well, although the option to save the media is not present.

Yes it is. While viewing the media, press the options softkey, and Save is in the menu. On the A900, this is the right softkey, and Save is item 6 I believe. I don't have a A900 in front of me right now.

You should be able to. UPS does Saturday deliveries (you have to pay extra for that service), so they are open. I would just call your local UPS facility first to be sure.

Have you checked your account online? I NEVER get notifications on my 940, but the picture mails and video mails always go through to my account online. Might be the same case with the 900.

earthshaker78: so far, you can't add words to T9 on the 900, 920 or 940.

don: I haven't a clue... I've only gotten notified twice for Picture Mail, so I only have two in my Inbox on my phone. But I have about 17 in my Inbox on my account online.

Yes it is. While viewing the media, press the options softkey, and Save is in the menu. On the A900, this is the right softkey, and Save is item 6 I believe. I don't have a A900 in front of me right now.

Well, I know it's there. I didn't word it correctly; it DOESN'T allow you to save, even though the option is listed. I forget the pop-up/error it gives.

Yes you can upload pictures and videos to your online album, and send pic's and videos from your albums to your phones.

Whats new is when you click send, it puts them in a pending folder in your phone and sends them when it has a good signal or EV-DO. The old way send it when you clicked send. I like the new system, you can click send and then keep working on something else on your phone while it sends. :clap:

Also, incoming picture mail is stored in your phone now as a picture. No more links to click. I love it. You see the thumbnail and if you don't even want to see it delete it. If you do want to see it, click it and view it larger. Then you can save it to your phone or send it to your album. Much better than the old system of just getting a link and waiting to view it while it connected.

yeah i got the same message at first but it is because you didnt add picture mail to your account, once you add it you will be able to send and receive pictures without an error

Ok, it works to save Pictures now, for me. (Haven't tried video. And it won't save audio files that are sent.)

Um another question guys, I called sprint about 18 times today (throughout the day) and no one was able to give me either my order number or tracking number :indiff: They would all either transfer me to someone who would never pick up or give me the wrong number to call back or simply hang up. Is there any way i can get my tracking number? All i want to know is where my phone is...

Actually Peruano I found out they took off my GF'd vision when they activated my phone, but Email support put it back on.
