Email Notification

Ok, I'm sure this has been asked before. I did a search and didn't really find what I was looking for, but got one answer. Then, I called Sprint and got a different one, so I'm goign to ask it here to see what everyone says.

I currently use gmail for my personal email. Since I can't access it from my phone (yet, hopefully they'll get that in there), I'm having it forwarded to my sprintpcs mail, which I can check fine. I also turned on email notification. When I did this, I figured it would be just like when I get a voicemail, my phone would vibrate (8300 has the stupidest tones, so I'm stuck with vibrate until I can find one online or something for my notification things) and I'd get an icon on my screen. What I get instead is a text message.

My question is whether or not I get charged for that text message that's coming from my email notification. Sprint said no, but what say you?

Normally you do get charged the cost of a text message for the notification. If you have a text package, it comes out of it. But, sprint is currently delivering this for free. According to the email I received when I first signed up for it, we will be nofified by the PCS mail admin when the special will be over and charges will resume.

I do the exact same thing, forward my gmail to sprint, and get alerted when an email comes in. Very handy indeed.

Hey is that possible to do that with Optimum Online webmail? Like i want to recieve email Nof. every time i recieve a email throught my Optimum webmail. How can i do this?
