What exactly is a premium message? I've seen others ask but no answers. I figured it might be a message from Sprint, but I got one last night and it dumps right into my regular Inbox.

Well I'm not sure what it is on the newer phones... the last time I was charged for it it was becuz my other line signed up for those joke-a-day things they show on tv.

I ran into that problem before. Some times, some idiot SMS spammer sends you premium messages. At the next billing cycle, write into eCare and have the charges removed.

premium short message service is a text messaging premium service that provides Sprint customers the ability to register and purchase third party content such as chat services and voting applications using short codes through a wireless application protocol mini browser or website. it could be subscribing to a joke text message or traffic updates. as soon as you have subscribed from it, you will recieve a daily/weekly text message update and its going to charge you real bad. don't blame sprint for that one because its going to be your disgretion if you are going to subscribe for it or not. sprint can only assists you in removing/unsubscribing you from the service. you will still have to pay for the usage incurred.
