So, how many people, with an Power Vision phone, still have regular Vision? I've managed to have mine changed to regular Vision, since I'm not in a EVDO area, but I've been told that if I go to AN evdo area, I'll be charged data usage. I've also been told that I'll be able to use it just fine.
Just wanting to see if anyone else still has regular vision (grandfathered), or just managed to keep regular vision on their account - if so, have you been charged anything extra, and have you used the handset in an evdo area.
Thanks.

You already know :D But I'll post incase anyone else is interested.
I'm on a regular vision picture pack plan. I have used EV-DO and 1x vision with no problems. So far, I haven't been charged anything extra for data.

I'm agreeing with fl00d. I'm at the same point.. been using and loving EV-DO, but still on a grandfathered vision.

check the rollout maps provided by Sprint...it is mentioned in some other threads here...unless you are in really rural Jersey chances are you will be covered...I drove from NYC to Wilmington DE last weekend and had EVDO coverage down "most" of the turnpike, on I-95 around Philly, in the Philly suburbs, but not in Wilmington...

Today my bill was available to view online and I am happy to report NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES on my line or the extra two EVDO phones added late in the cycle. Again no additional charges!!!!!!!! I have grandfathered vision on all three EVDO phones with unlimited texting, 5 dollar content credit and picturemail.

She's out of the first free month period, and she doesn't have an EVDO plan anyway. Grandfathered is the key word here.

Basically it means we're on plans that are no longer available because we've managed to not touch our plans at all so we don't lose those old goodies.

im in a non evdo area, have a 8300, about to get a a920, its a powervision phone, but either way, if i was in a powervision evdo area, wouldnt be charged for powervision because of unlimited free stuff on radioshack employee plan. so no change in charges with any handset with me here :D
