How Uploaders Work
First, you will need to save the file you wish to upload to your computer. If this is a wallpaper, simply right-click on the image and select Save As to save it to your computer. You can do the same with links to ringtones (right-click link, Save As) or if the ringtone is playing in your web browser or media player on your computer, go to File/Save As.

The main way these work is that they send your phone a text message that consists of a link. You click 'Go' from the message and it will open Vision. A download window will pop-up (preceded by a warning that it's not from Sprint and can't be guaranteed to be safe--Continue through this warning). The image, ringtone or whatever you sent will begin to download to the proper folder in your phone.

If you don't have a text messaging plan, all of these uploaders (except funformobile) will give you a URL you can browse to directly from Vision to begin the download.

You almost NEED Vision for this, or else you will get bombed with charges per KB downloaded. If you have an unlimited Vision plan, you needn't worry about a thing.

More on Funformobile
I heard about this uploader from someone who had posted about it quite a number of times. I've tried finding out who that was to give him or her credit and will update this when I can find some of those posts. I've been testing it on and off for the past couple of days, along with all the other uploaders, since things seem to be going from bad to worse. Having officially tested each of the Fun For Mobile uploaders on my 940 & 535, and I've had others testing for me on their phones as well. So far, across the board, it's been 100% success.

What might stop me from using the wallpaper and ringtone uploaders is the fact that you cannot title the file itself. The wallpaper uploader allows you to enter a Subject, but that's for the text message. Your wallpaper and/or ringtone's title ends up being its file name. I'm really... particular. Right now, Rumkin is the only uploader with this function that works on my 940; both Focus and Rumkin work on my 535.

What might stop me from being so ridiculously anal is the fact that, by registering with Fun For Mobile (which is free), you are given a "locker" that stores every ringtone and wallpaper you upload. You are also given a WAP address to access your locker. I can't find anything that mentions what the storage limit is, though.

Also note that all of my wallpapers are the correct size for my phones. On the wallpaper uploader, the 940 is not listed, so I just selected the 535 since they both use the same screen size. This works like a charm. But when I selected Other, it turned the wallpaper into a little square in the center of the screen. So, basically, don't ever select Other if your model isn't listed; just select a model with the same screen size.

Seeing as I've gotten 100% success across the board with each of Fun For Mobile's uploaders on four or five different handset models, it's at the top of the board so far.
