i'm just curious if anybody knows how to make m4a or aac (which ever you perfer to call it) ringtones with the size of an qcp ringtone. If you know, can you tell me how to do it/I would LOVE to know this as well I have a MMA880 and I've been able to put pretty much every kind of ringer format but they all take up too much room and .qcp is so smaller but sound pretty bad, .amr sounded pretty good but whenever my phone rang the volume would reajust to a very quiet tone. So if anyone knows of a great sounding format that I can make smaller or already is I'd love to know. Thanks

I don't make ringtones very often so I'm definitely not an expert here, which means I can be wrong and you can't blame me. :D But I think your only option would be to follow Deval's FAQ and lower the settings. You'll have to take the good with the bad (smaller file size, low quality).

my best advice is just to use a smaller sample rate. most of my ringers are 32 and some are at 24. but you can go lowere. you'll start loosing quality, but they should still sound better that QCP ringers. The lower the sample rate the lower the quality, but the smaller the files size.

I just gave up and put .mp3 ringers on my phone but to save room I put the good sounding .qcp ringers on my phone too.
