I have had my 8300 for about a month. I have had no problems at all. I have been making my own ringers and it is very easy. I read a review that said the 8300 was a POS but in the review they praised the phone several times and mainly complained about the sound of the earpiece. Also the phone DOES HAVE A FLASHLIGHT FEATURE!!!!!!!!!!! You have to hold one of the directional buttons on the side of the phone while the clamshell is closed. If you have the sidekey-lock on then you have to disable that first. I have yet to drop a call. The reception has been steady everyday pretty much anywhere. I've even gone into basements of restaurants and stores and still had good reception. As far as the sound of the earpiece I have no complaints. It is loud enough and always clear. I haven't had any problems yet with the battery but I have heard it goes bad way too fast. This phone is thinner than the 8100 I had before it. The antenna is flimsy so I guess you can count that as a negative, but I rarely pull it out so it doesn't bother me. Overall I love this phone and I hope to have it for a long time.

This website has a cornucopia of information and tips that make me use my phone even more than I thought I would. Take advantage!!
