before i got my sanyo 5600 i looked at the treo 650 and thought how big it was and how i would never use it to it's full potential.
well now i need a lot of the functions of a PDA phone especially POP mail. thing is i'm a windows junkie and i dont want to figure out PALM. It took me maybe 10 mintutes to get used to how palm works.
EASY, works like a champ.
So finally i waiting for something like the 6700 to come out. One of the guys in my office got one when it first hit telesales. i messed with it for quite a bit.
things i loved, windows. it's just beautful and all the media works well.
things i hated! this list will go on and on. the sliding hinges suck! they're plan garbage, after awhile with a couple of drops because that will always happen, i think that will be the judgement day for those phones. Egro feel of the phone felt like crap!
Ok now we're all on the fly and need to make or check calls fast! how do you do this with one hand? YOU DONT! Flipping out the keyboard and going through contacts suck! Even with the keyboard out or having both hands ready, contact scrolling still sucks.
Switching from vert to horiz views is slow and choppy.
As for the Treo 650, its cheaper, does everything that phone does, egro is there. I can do everything with one hand although the buttons are smaller and i don't mistype with it a whole lot.
I can't wait till the treo 700 comes out, because it can only make the treo that much better. for now i'll make with the Treo. I'm a serious techno junkie and the 6700 may be latest and greatest, it just isn't practical for what we do. Those that have it and are happy, good for you.
I'm a realtor, i use it for emails mostly and media. Doing normal things like making calls should be fast or going through contacts should be fast. everyone in the office has a treo and were going to switch, but after playing with it for about a week it just didn't do the job that treo does.
