View Full Version : Phone Does Not Charge

Ran into this little problem tonight - phone does not charge. I think I am SOL, but that's why there is SprintUsers.

The adapter is good since my other phone charges just fine. Replaced battery and still no go.

Maybe it's time to go replace my phone with something else?

Is there something that I overlooked, or pretty much, time to go replace the phone since it's been a month short of my 2 year commmitment.

Please advise. I have a spare Toshiba VM4050 phone, so I might go replace it with that, but then again, there is no way of saving the pictures and ringers, so that's why I am half bummed already.

I had the same problem with my old samsung n400. I kept using their equipment replacement program to replace it and each time it worked months less. I think your sol but if you know anyone with a phone that uses the same battery you could always try using their phone to charge your battery.

The TOSHIBA VM 4050 is known for that! I'm just hoping my will last long enough for the lastest phone I want A900. Should be 12/01/2005 as longh as I don't change my mind again...

Thank you very much. Sort of bummed that this is a known problem. I just don't want to change all my accessories, so I might go activate my other Toshiba VM4050 on this line. Sprint offered to activate this older phone to this line at no charge to me (I know about the most recent pricing structure), so at least that's cool.

Wish there was an SD card so that I don't have to lose all my pictures and things. The new Sanyo's support SD cards, but don't support #777!!! (Aw, sucks!!!)

Dale, you are 1 month shy of you 2 years right??? Are you thinking about using the rebate to upgrade??? If you are, you shouldn't do the ESN to your other toshiba...Won't that change your rebate date???

Thanks, but according to the Sprint people, they said that I don't qualify for a rebate any way since I have a base plan that is under $34.99/mo!!! ***??? I know that's policy, but I am not willing to change my $30/mo for 750 any time minutes - 25% off for any current existing rip-off/scam artist calling plan that they have in place now.

Yup, one month short, but hey, I am thinking of just switching it out or something. I know I have to go reload my phone book, go find the ringers and the pictures again, but hey, at least all my accessories work.

One month before Christmas and my phone broke!!! Now, that's a bummer!!! I'll have a new phone for Christmas, but I really didn't want this to happen!!! A-ya. Boo hoo!
