I did a quick search and didn't see anyone talking about this.

My question is this, has anyone been told that their is an update to the BCPE Software? MY desktop and my 6700 both told me this. I downloaded the desktop client upgrade but am having problems upgrading the 6700 software. I can't see any changes other then for the first time since I got this phone my emails are finally being real time pushed to the device, which is all that I really cared for to begin with. So I am VERY happy with this fact.

Does anyone know what this upgrade is supposed to do?

Thanks!

Business Connection Personal Edition

It basically acts as a link between my desktop and my phone and allows me to access my documents, emails and contacts in outlook. Not the best thing out there - but cheaper then buying my own server

I downloaded the desktop client upgrade but am having problems upgrading the 6700 software.I think they're going to come out with another upgrade specifically for the 6700. On the 6600 the notification for emails looks different and the whole thing feels more stable to me, but that may just be wishful thinking! I've been using BCPE since it first came out (I was a beta tester so it's always been free for me) and it really does work pretty well. Business software for the 6600 works on the 6700.. I never have considered this a stuning way to access your exchange server, but if your stuck waiting for your company to update to excange sp2... its better than nothing.

the email (all I care about) works flawlessly... integrates into outlook.. company global contacts look ups work
calander is on the today page... and works well. but looks as always terrible. but just as before.

Due to the size of my company, I don't have the money to invest in an exchange server. So this solution has been a very afforable one for my needs.

The problems I have run into using my 6700 that I did not have using BCPE on my 6600 is accessing my desktop documents and actually downloading attachments. With the 6600 I had no problems. With the 6700 I can't access my desktop nor can I get attachments. I know that they are planning on releasing a new version of BCPE for the 6700 (and I guess for any future WM 5.0 device) that I am hoping addresses these issues. I was just curious if this latese update was it, and it would appear not to be.

Shureka - do you have any idea when the 6700 release is coming? Vision support told me this month but no firm date.

I don't exactly have a pipeline to Sprint  ! But you might want to contact seven (the software provider) - http://www.seven.com - to see what's going on. I know there was a WM5 beta going around, but I have no idea what's happened with that. - sheureka
