i notice when u go to camera mode...theres only a small square available on the screen that shows whats being captured in the lense..but on the sprint phones u can turn it into a large display and have it cover the whole screen...can u do it on the nextels?
Push the left and right arrows on the pad. That'll take the whole screen up when your taking a picture as well as make the resolution bigger on the picture you're taking.

The pictures on the 860 and the 870 are very primitive compared to all the camers phones sprint has...The :bang: i860 is the reason that I cancelled Nextel.....A big POS IMO

Select picture size in camera menu options. U can make it "wall paper" size, instead of "small" size. When u take a picture in "wall paper" size and set it as wall paper, it comes fully on desktop of phone.

Skrywinski, can you use the Focus feature on here to upload your own ringtones and then download them to your i870?

nah, wont work.
what you need to do is:
1 - buy a motorola usb data cable (ebay~$10 shipped) (sprint/nextel store~$40-ish)
2 - follow all instructions (including reset computer) from http://www.harrythompson.com/webjal.htm
3 - either make ur own wav's / mp3's / backgrounds / apps, or get them from http://www.nextpimp.com
to some, it may look like a hard process, but its really not.

Thanks!! Worked great!! Making .wavs from my MP3s was pretty simple. Transferring to i870 was a snap. Now I'll search the forums for a way to change the front screen image. Thanks again ...... :headbang2

download picture manager from motorola.com
pull them off with the data cable
