If you don't have a subscription then it's $7.95 a month just for online (through your computer or phone). Sign up for the trial and check it out! - sheureka

A person would have to be crazy to log into this site. You are providing your xm login information to an unknown person and without ssl. The author may not have any ill will but they are violating your privacy and security.

But even if it weren't, what would he do with the information? Go around using it to listen to xm on computers? There are lot of alternate players for streaming xm online - and all of them require a log on. I've never heard of a problem with them.- sheureka

The login screen is not with XM. The site is passing it to XM. There is no SSL on this login page. Very bad. Boo.

But even if it weren't, what would he do with the information? Go around using it to listen to xm on computers?

Yes, Harvesting logins for use by other people. You don't think this information is valuable on the net? You have no ideqa how this person is handling your data once it leaves your computer. Boo.

Did you do the 3-day trial yet? If not, I'd do that first. And xm doesn't support phones in the sense that they don't furnish software (and they may have thought you were asking if they had a program like the Sirius program that Sprint offers).

If I didn't already have 4 XM receivers on my account this is what I'd do - buy an XM Roady II (http://www.xmfanstore.com/showproduct.php?id=roady2) for only $24.98. It comes with the car kit, but you can add a home kit for a little bit more if you want to hook it up to your stereo inside. Then subscribe to regular xm radio for $12.95 a month. You get more channels on a regular receiver - lots of sports, lots of talk shows, weather and traffic, plus the music channels. Then you get xm online free. For only $5 more than the online only price it's a really good deal (particularly since the Roady has dropped about $100). PM me if you have any more questions. - sheureka

sheureka, I take it that it is necessary to use this portal because if you log directly to the xmradio site ... you get the message that "The application requires a browser that supports iframes"?
