I was trying to figure out if there was a way to adjust the number of rings before my voice mail picks up. My phone rings apprx. 25 seconds and then voicemail pics up. Is there a way to lengthen it? Anyone know? I have a Sanyo 8300 like it states on the left.

try customer service (*2 or 800-658-7564) if the rep says they can't do it ask to speak to a specialist/tech.

I called *2 and was transfered to a tech spec. and was told it could not be done. I had it done with nextel, why not sprint? Plus, I think the tech was distracted, sounded like kids fighting in the background. She told me all I heard was other callers in the help center, but what I heard would cause me to hangup if tech help was talking to me like that.

on the M1 if you go to Menu-->Settings-->Alerts, you can change how long the ring for VM, Txt Messaging, Ready Link, ect is. don't know if it's the same on the 8300 or not

the phone call will only ring for 30 seconds. anything after that, the call is gone and the ringtone is finishing playing (if you have such a long timer set)

Are you really missing that many calls because you can't get to phone in time? Try louder ringer, keep phone closer. Also might want to use Call Screening . . . might help. But no way to lengthen what you want to that I know of.

I always thought this was for the lenght of the ringtone that the phone actually plays, not for how long it is to voicemail. Mine is set to 4 seconds, so I thought that meant the ringer i set to alert me for a new voicemail would only go off for 4 seconds?
