There is no sprint tv for ppc's..........you cannot access any sprint content.......you can stream your own stuff using orb.com for free.......if you have a tv tuner card you can stream all your cable channels for free.....Something sprint tv cant offer you anyway.....search orb for more info......very simple to set up......

I'm in the same boat--I was told Sprint TV would be available on the 6700, but it obviously doesn't work. I'll be calling them today.

I work for sprint man and there is no sprint tv on the 6700. Calling them will not make a difference. Hopefully your on the $15 unlimited ev-do plan not a more expensive plan that is giving you sprint channels.

I've got two weeks to change my plan, so I'll be downgrading.
What a shame. It couldn't be too difficult to develop a MobiTV interface app for Windows Mobile... at least, I wouldn't think so.

I've just been trying to figure out how I got the impression that Sprint TV is supported (besides the fact that the CSR told me it was). Well, looking through the Sprint.com site, it's pretty obvious there is a lot of marketing collateral that intimates this fact, leading me to believe it probably WILL be supported at some time in the future--the question is how long?
It could be a case of them just not having separated "Sprint TV" services from "Power Vision" services in the material online, but there are more than a couple links from the PPC-6700 details page that take you to Power Vision presentations that hail the entertainment features of Power Vision, including Sprint TV.
Especially with MobiTV support on the Treo, I can't imagine they'd ignore the Windows side for long, but I've been wrong before.

You'd have to have a tuner card in your PC to watch local TV. I haven't had a desktop in years, and Orb's functionality alone was enough to push me to the local PC retailer last night, where I picked up a desktop and an ATI Wonder Elite.

Just finished installation about an hour ago, and I'm glad to report that streaming my 100 channels of cable works GREAT. Can't wait to get recordings going.
