Sanyo 9000 availablity in Balt / DC area?

Has anyone in the Baltimore/DC area bought a Sanyo 9000 from a SPCS store? I have checked about 7 stores in the area with the same response of, "we will be getting them around the end of November".

I called a Sprint store today and they said there not getting EV-DO phones but you can go into the store and have them set up a direct ship. Who knows if that's true but if it is that's dumb. I think if the Sprint stores get them it will probally within the next few weeks.

My Sprint store here in NC said they would not have any for a few weeks...

hey I want to buy the sanyo MM9000 tommorow and thats payday! my check is 1,293 and dat feels good! but in the metropolitan area(MD DC VA) they arent for sale is there I way I could find out with out calling every store in the world?

I live in Washington DC and I ordered the Samsung a940 on Monday at the Chevy Chase store in Maryland. One thing for sure no stores have them in stock in the DC area. They have to order the phones from the warehouse. It takes about 5 business days for you to get the phone. Also the Sanyo 9000 is also avaliable to order.

When I called and asked bestbuy if I wanted to buy a new phone and didnt have sprint and didnt want it activated until christmas I would pay the new activation fee since its a gift and the person never had sprint service they check your social to see if you had sprint man if thats the case I might wait

I just tried to order it and it didnt say out of stock on the sprint website you mean after I enter all my info it says it?? cause I have it ready to go

It will say your order is being processed. You will receive an email stating everything is being shipped. However when I had somebody check my account on-line, there is a high priority note stating the phone is on back order.

so will they refund your money?? how are they gonna take it and put your order on back order and not say nothing that wrong are you sure?? man I bet imma find some were to order it from like COSTCO online or radio shack bestbuy online theres other options

It's a waiting game for me now. Luckily I don't need the money (just yet) but I'm hoping something can come of it soon.
