Its obviously not a phone issue.

Mine jumps from the current time to an hour ahead. My buddy has the same issue. I went to my local Sprint store and the Tech also has it. Corporate is aware and I'm sure there will be an update for it.

Who else?

When I had the 9000 it showed the correct time off the towers in Denver. Interesting tho.

Just thinking out loud. Maybe the clock works in EVDO markets? Anyway the Tech at Sprint told me there will probably an update soon.

Mine is fine.

I read at hofo about the 2 Sanyo 9000 software updates. The first update 1.008 fixed picture mail uploading time and something else. The second one 1.010 said sanyo maintence.

Does anyones 9000 flip make a noise when you have the flip have open and wiggle it (not the creak like the 5600)? I don't hear it everytime and it's not a big deal I just remember the tech said somehting about it and for some reason I still bought it. I also hear a noise somethimes when I put the flip down. I think the spring might be to tight. I might swap it out. I hate being so picky but I miss the 4500 design/build.

My flip is sturdy and solid, no creak, squeak, nothing. The MM8300 has the best flip out of all the Sanyo phones. It's a tiny phone though so that helps. My 4500 had 33,192 minutes on it before it died. The hinge did squeak. They didn't have replacement parts so I lived with it.

Ditto. My flip is fine. Did the tech say is was a known problem already?

no.. I forget what exactly he said but I was playing with a 940 at the time and didn't think much about it. If I keep my 9000 I just don't want anything to happen down road. I just don't care for the design of the hinge on the 5600 and the 9000 but I'll probally stick with the 9000 because the web is very nice on it.

Reemusk has a point... if you live near the border of two time zones, when you access a tower on the other side, it will change the time on your phone until you start using a tower on your side of the border.

I don't live by any time line.

The Tech today told me it is a known problem. His personal phone is a 9000 and it's doing the same thing. He also mentioned that Sprint corporate has been flooded with this issue for the last few days. An update is sure to come.
