In march i bought sanyo 5600 and now it has an intermittent problem with its microphone and its really annoying. Nobody can hear what i'm saying unless i give it a nice tap against something. anyway the sprint store near me says they cant replace the microphone and they have no 5600's in stock because sprint discontinued it. I was wondering if an upgrade to the 9000 is just a dream or would they really do it? b.t.w. its still covered under the 1 year contract.

the 9000 has not even been rolled out to a majority of the stores yet...I would say your odds of getting one are extremely slim at this point...the 9000 is a major upgrade to the 5600...5x as much memory, EV-DO, etc...at some point you might have a shot, but I would not hold your breath...just didn't want you to have unrealistic expectations...also, if your 5600 is under warranty, they might very well be able to fix whatever problems you are having without replacing the phone...
