IMO the 9000 sounds a tad better than the 5600. But again earpiece sound quality is subjective depending on a person's hearing.

What I Would Like To Know Is How To Get Other Normal Headphones To Work On A 9000 Or 5600. I Have A System In My Car That Allows Me To Plug In An External Input But When I Got An Adapter From Radio Shack It Only Worked Through One Speaker. I Guess This Is Because Normal Headphone Jacks Have Two Contact Points For Each Speaker While A Headset Lack In A Phone Has A Third For The Mic. Does Any One Know Of A Place To Get An Adapter That Will Work With A Phone Headphone Jack?

Sanyo has improved the sound quality in there mid to high range phones since the 7400 or maybe before that. I can't comment on the lower end since I never owned one. The earpiece sound quality on the 5600 was good and so is the 9000. It's not land quality but most people can care less about the earpiece sound quality as long as it's not to low. One thing I like about sanyo earpieces is that if you need the extra volume if your in a loud enviroment it's there. If the volume is turned up really loud which doesn't happen that much then it might be distorted or muffled but I would rather have a muffled earpiece then not being able to hear at all or parts of the conversation cutting out (noise cancellation). I had the 535 and the sound quality might be a little more clear than the 9000 but I hear better on the 9000.

The 5600's earpiece was great, better than any Samsung's I've owned. The earpieces I had on the 8100, 8200 were poor, the 5500 & 7400 below average, 7300 & 4900 above average.
So I would expect the 9000 to have a great earpiece.

the 8200s earpiece was unbearable. the 8100 was good to me. the 7300 was okay but alot of cutoffs. 535 is crystal clear

I just like how the earpiece and the mic line up to your ear and mouth better on a flip phone rather than a small slider or a small candy-bar phone. I think the 4050 had the best sound quality of any phone I've owned.
