Anybody have info when they will make a bluetooth phone for Sprint? (and what model that would be?)

i think its due to the fact that sprint can make more money from the adapter for non blue tooth phones that they can on phones that have it

Isn't the 5700 suppose to be Sanyo's BT phone? I read a few times that it's up to Sprint to decide what items they want from their vendors. Sanyo is Sprint's premier Ready Link supplier with Samsung behind them with a couple of handsets.

Ok, Wasn't the alleged 5700 just the 9000 and no body caught on?

would be awesome if they had luetooth... that's one thing I missed from from my gsm phones.. If my 8300 had bluetooth and removeable memory it would be my perfect phone.. able to fit in my shirt pocket and have everything...

Now that Sprint has the data tethering plan available maybe they'll start to carry more BT phones.

More like the other manufactures are the ones who realize that Ready Link is dead?
Do you have any idea what Samsung/Motorola and even your favorite Sanyo are working on for 2006 as far as PTT goes, that doesn't involve RL?

Not really worried about it Tu. Since mobile to mobile is free I could care less about drive up window sounding PTT conversations. I've already ordered a 9000, I'm all set.

readylink is not dead. PTT is not and will never be dead. You guys are treating readylink like some different species of PTT. It's the same crap, voice over IP. It's just Sprint's clever name for PTT for marketing purpose. Verizon has it. Cingular soon will have it. T-Mobile will probably have it too. They have it in Europe. They're all VoIP. There's no need to criticize the feature. If you dont like it, don't buy it or use it. I can understand if you're talking trash about Readylink not being able to work while roaming then I can understand. I wish RL do work while roaming like some GSM PTT.

here it is, my first post.
I'm with qwest, and I am still on the fence with R/L. Bear in mind this is my first phone (2300) and up until today, I was thinking about dumping it. Then my wife needed "female items" and bam, at the store I could just get the right "item". And much to the delight of the 40 something y/o next to me, she got to hear all the sordid details. So, I haven't made up my mind if it is something I need, but I do see its potential strengths, and don't think its dead yet.
