That's only ~24 mb of memory...
Looks good otherwise... The signal meter is very ... different ... from sanyos in the past.

Hmm... yea, I am wondering what is up with the 24MB of memory... especially with all the talk of it having at least 70MB... eh, still looks decent me thinks.

I thought the 7500 was supposed to have the 70MB. What would be the point of having a SD slot with that much memory? Although, it would be nice.

This phone is amazing. I think it's better than the samsung a940. I was going to buy it last night, but the sales rep took about 40 minutes to do the transaction and still couldn't get it right, so I just left. The samsung a940 is a littly boxy compared to the 9000. The screen size isn't much of a difference, but it's the thought of having a qvga screen. The speaker is louder on the a940 if i'm correct. Both user interfaces are practically the same. If you can live without bluetooth, this is the phone to get. Please correct me on anything if i'm wrong.

I played with a demo 940 and the design is pretty cool. I would've bought instead of the 9000 just for the cool design but the store didn't have any instock. I had a 5600 and if the build was different on the 9000 then I might not think about getting a 940. I'm thinking after a few months the coolness might fade away on the 940. I'm not sure what I'm going to do.

Call me jaded, but i am completely and utterly underwhelmed by this first attempt. That's the new Power Vision homepage? Seriously? Thanks for the tiny icons that Yahoo! Mobile has had for years, i'm really just <sarcasm>totally impressed.</sarcasm> =P

True. I like the design on the 940 also, but just can't stand having to turn the screen to take pictures. Another thing is how the keypad is organized. I'm not a big fan of the keypad placement. Other than that, the 940 is nice. I believe the only thing the 940 has over the 9000 is bluetooth. I'm not going to be using bluetooth all that much, so the 9000 is the better phone. Plus, like you said, after a few months the coolness will fade away. I also like the build quality of the sanyo better. Feels more sturdy than the 940. I never had the 5600, so maybe that's why i think the 9000 is cool. I agree, the design is the same, but it's a nice design, so why change it.

You'd think they would improve on the Font style. It looks Blah to me. The best font was in the 8200.

I thought the 940 felt more sturdy than the 9000. The 9000 felt a little cheap to me, even different than the 5600.

I can't figure out why I like how the 9000 feels better than the 5600. I think it might be the paint job finish or the bottom of the flip is different. I don't think the 9000 feels cheap at all but I'm not sure about the new hinge style.

As far as that goes, are you really suprised? For years with Vision we have had to go to third party content providers for original material (read: sprintusers.com). It will just be a matter of time before sites start popping up providing the superior multimedia cellphone experience that Sprint can't, or won't provide.

Wow, the Sanyo UI has evolved nicely. Power Vision hasn't changed much, for better in my opinion (VZW's is too over-the-top and illegible at times) What are "premium messages" ?
Oh, things I want to see pics of:
-Different Themes and their effects throughout the UI (that aqua-esque theme looks interesting!)
-Phone Book (remember to blur numbers)
-Picture management
-New Cool things
-Scheduler
-Mp3 player
!!!

hmm...judging by the first two pics...is it safe to assume the menu just shows the icons for your choices over the selected walpaper (ala 4050)?
