Of course I'm not talking about the built in voice recorder/call screen feature. Here's what my mm-7400 does, sometimes. Call comes in, Private for instance, and I want it to roll into vm, so I hit "end", to stop the ring. Here's the cool part, I hear the party, but they can't hear me, and it's still ringing on their end! Then I don't answer, and it rolls into vm. This has happened more and more, and I don't know why. Is this a feature that's coming out, or my phone is nuts or what? I'm asking, because I want the feature all the time, bill me for the call screened, on minutes, I don't care. It's very usefull. Sprint read!
That even works when the phone is closed, just hit the volume button on the side and you can hear the other person talking away while the phone still rings on their end!

that's what the csr told me too. But I don't seem to be able to control it, only does it sometimes. How do I get this ALL the time?

that's the screen call function, my 7300 has it too.
When the phone is closed and you press up on the volume key and it will screen the call. If you press down, it just quiets the ringer.
And it should screen the call when you press up, down or end when the phone is open.
Just ran a little test!

Now we're getting somewhere!! Thanks. I just tried that too. What about the End Button, and does it have anything to do with the type of call that is coming in? Private, Unknown, etc.?

My friend called Me from his 8200 so I don't know if it works from a landline or on other models besides Sanyo. Nobody I know has a home phone so I can't try it till I get to work tomorrow. But I know it definitely works with Sanyo's with the phone closed with the volume up button.

LOL Funny I've always known of this and thought others did as well. I've had my Sanyo 8100 since and come out and noticed it within the first week. I thought it was strange at first but after awhile its pretty cool. Ill never forget the time I was Ignoring my Ex from getting a *****'in . But while she called I would press my Volumn button and all I could hear was her say. I KNOW HES THERE, HE BETTER PICK UP HIS F****** PHONE! Funny stuff, good times, good times. Ill test it on my NEW GFs phone sometime tomorrow, she has a Sanyo 8200.

you have to turn on call screening in the tools-voice services menu

Nope, not the same thing as we are talking about.
And it has always worked on Sanyo's using the method I described above but I don't know about other manufacturers because we all have Sanyo here! I'll hijack a customers phone and try it next chance I get.

no settings and it does not screen every call. I can't seem to figure out, when or why, it will do it.

I tried it the ways described, and it doesn't work.
The only "call screening" feature I can find in the manual is to press the voice button and it will prompt them to record a message that your phone records. It doesn't allow you to listen while they hear the ringtone.

Call sceening is a standard feature for all of Sanyo Models. The caller on the other end has no idea that you can hear them, so you can blow off any one at any time.
Anybody remember how to do the flashlight and meeting mode?

FYI: The volume button won't turn on the flashlight if you have "events" which need to be dismissed.
