Motorola Power Vision E815 Very Soon
10/25/05:

While Samsung-Chaebol does not normally cover other manufactures handsets, we thought it was worth mentioning that the Motorola Power Vision handset is due out very soon, within the next week and a half. Expect the physical appearance to mirror the Verizon E815, while being a tad thicker, but also not quite as wide.

Nice... If this is true, then it will be my next phone. Until the BLADE atleast. And now I can be like CoreyTheGent without having to leave Sprint.

it's just something different and not like LG or Audiovox, but on the level of Samsung and Sanyo.

I was just checking the vzw website. It looks like a decent multi-featured phone. It's not exactly a "looker" but seems to serve its purpose.

The clock is ticking and there is no word on this...?

Is there any speculation on the approximate release timetable for this phone?

At this point, there is no graphic picture, real picture, no spec sheet, no proper name, nobody and nothing other than a couple people on the internet claiming this phone is real.

Also, there is no SKU in Sprint's system yet, nor any info in Best Buy's system, and as far as I know, this phone has not popped on the telesales daily phone list.

So be patient and show blind faith ;)

I welcome Motorola to Sprint's lineup- the E815 has been getting rave reviews, and I like the phone (though, unlike other MOTOS, its image management options stink.. maybe Sprint's version will fix that.)

Usually though Motorola doesn't change the appearance of their phones if they're carrying the same name. The Alltel and US Cellular V710's look identical.

It actually has an "undocumented feature."

To quote "Brill" (Gene Hackman) from Enemy of the State :

"You're incredibly smart or you're incredibly stupid".

And I think you may have lucked out with that prediction

How much will this phone go for? Is this phone going to be under $100 after say $150 rebate?

If its out in time for the holidays I want to get it for my father as a replacement for his samsung a620 so he can use the bluetooth for hands free instead of holding the phone.

Your fogetting the important part. Its a motorola so who cares...J/K. I'm not a fan of Motorola but part of that might be because I work at an affiliate and we don't/can't carry motorola. They force mass purchases and affiliates just can't do that. It looks like a slick phone but my girlfriend has a Cingular moto it is lacking in a few areas (washed out screen, buttons coming off, terrible cammera, bad ringers, awful reception, bad call quality - like a rainstorm behind her constantly, drops calls, not user friendly) but other than that, go moto!

Since the original prediction has already been proven wrong, there is now no reason to believe this will be out by Christmas, if at all.

I'd like this phone to come out, it makes the dark side seem very attractive, but if it was over here...

Philosophical Sidenote: If one's actions are perceived by most people to be pessimistic, and they say "I'm just being realistic," I would take that to mean that the person has achieved the ultimate level of pessimism in that it has become their reality.

Conventional Wisdom (Retail Edition) says that if you don't have something definitive by Nov. 1, it probably won't happen until the first quarter at the earliest... :deal:

This we will see.

Moto wouldn't DARE leave its baby hanging. Motorola has alot vested in Sprint-Nextel. Remember that.
