I Have Seen The Sanyo 9000 And Must Admit. . . . Not Very Impressed. . . Even Locklining My Phone For One Is Not Really Appealing. . . Any Other 5600 Owners Not Too Hyped About The 9000 And Planning On Waiting For The Next Big Sanyo?

It's just a 5600 with EV-DO... No big deal as of now, really... Since EV-DO isn't nationwide yet.

Hopefully as people migrate to evdo the old system will speed up and there will be no need to switch till the 5600 is wore out..besides kinda hard to justify another 500 dollars for a new phone every year. I think Ill just wait it out and see what the next generation of phones bring..Im very happy with my 5600 right now..

I guess y'all 5600 users are not big music fans, but doesn't the Music Store feature and better quality music and video appeal to you? Not even, using your phone as a modem on the EV-DO network is appealing. And the phone doesn't cost any more than the 5600, what's not to like?

Well I personally GREATLY prefer the look of the 5600 over the 9000, but other than that, between the 2 the 9000 obviously would make more sense. I however will be keeping my 5600 for a long time to come...

Sanyo should have come up with a different design besides hardly changing a 5600 and calling it the "9000". This may hurt them a little bit. Hopefully the 5700 looks different.

It dosn't look very appealing, because looking at it, i think "thats almost the exact same as mine" but if the pictures and video recording AND that freakin PC Sync thing work, I'll consider it. But I'd really like to hear a review first from a 5600 owner to a 9000 owner. I like my music and video capabilities. I'm pretty happy with mine, but it the 9000 proves to be better on its features, like i said, i'll consider it... you know. :)

ok...

i have an 20 gig ipod in my pocket with the great sony earpieces with the bass
i have sirius satellite radio in my car playing through speakers that have enough boom to rock this message board
i have time warner cable digi package with hbo, mtv, bet, and vh1
i have road runner for home internet and a laptop for wireless g to use in hot spots. not like im going to be traveling down 85 using ev-do in the car.
and i paid $429 for my 5600 and will probably only get $150 for it and then have to shell out another $300 or so.

umm thanks for making the decision for me

If Any Thing Happened To My 5600, I Would Not Be Upset By Getting A 9000 From Lockline. But I Cant Really Justify It Right Now. There Have To Be Better Ev Do Phones Coming. The End Of Life Dates On The 9000, A920, And A940 Are December Any Way. I May Wait For The Second Generation Of Ev Do Phones And A Sanyo Phone With Blue Tooth.

I tried to buy a 5600 at the stores with no luck awhile ago but realized the $429.99 price is insane anyway. So then I tried EBAY and there getting over $300 for used ones. I ordered a 9000 last night for $379.99 from Telesales. I like them both but the 9000 is cheaper and has a better camera, EVDO. Not sure what else.

Its a completely different series. I was skeptical when peopl were saying that the 9000 was the 5600 replacement, didnt even sound right. The 5600 came out really late this time(the sanyo flagship used to drop around november) so its too early for most phone buyers to buy a new one. Plus, there's always small features they add on to the other phones, but the 5XXX series ends up having all of those and some "previously only in japan" type feature.

In other words,

I'm waiting
