I was going to except I traded my 5600 for a Treo 650 so I am thinking of just waiting to see what Q1 brings in as far as EV-DO phones.

I likely will eventually, but not until we have a good bead on whether or how they plan to grandfather older vision plans...I won't touch anything on my current $85 plan to get EV-DO...if they will grandfather me I'll buy the 9000...if they offer a $5 add-on for EV-DO I'll consider it...if neither of those conditions is met it will be a cold day in hell before I upgrade...

Will everyone pay the full price for the 9000 or get some kind of rebate?

I will probally add another line so I get $150 instant rebate. I will buy a cheap phone around Christmas time and give it to my 83 year old grandmother so she can use it on the new line. She's been wanting a cell phone for years. :hee:

If I still had my 5600 I would not rush out and get the 9000. I know to alot of people EV-DO is important and it's sort of a "must have" thing but I would wait for the Sanyo 5700 just because EV-DO is really the only added feature on the 9000. Just my thoughts on the matter.

9000 = Better Cam/Better Media Player/Better Internet/Better Face Design/Better UI/Better Internal Memory/Removable Face Strips. What more could i want?! Sprint will get a lockline call from me in about 2.5 weeks for my aging 5600. :headbang2

Probably hang on to the 5600 for the moment. I want to see how good the reviews of evdo and the 9000 go. To me Sprint is just starting to get normal Vision right, Im not sure I want to pay to be a Power Vision test subject.
