"wireless web" type service was good for those who wanted limited "free" net that used your minutes..... espically when used "off peak." Charging for the ability, limiting your "internet" to trusted sites, chewing up minutes on top of a monthly charge with NO free minutes? Bad idea!

Wireless Web was NOT free.

I paid five bucks a month for two years before the launch of Vision...

I like the $10 idea because I can browse SU and other sites from my phone with no problem

I like not having to worry about using my minutes for using the web. So I pay the 10 bucks. Small price to pay in my opinion. Hope we get grandfathered to the evdo when the time comes. Only time will tell. :fingers:

I rather pay the $10 for un/l use, and leave my min alone.

I must be in the minority. With nights, weekends, pcs-pcs, I rarely use half my minutes. I hate the idea of paying ANOTHER $120/year for basic internet access on a device that is so small that browsing is little more than a novelty.

I salute all you guys who read and post from your phones...I don't have anywhere near enough patience for that.....

I spoke with my Verizon rep, and she pointed out that even though EV-DO is not rolled out much, if you add the fifteen dollar EV-DO to a Verizon plan, the clock does stop...even when not in an EV-DO area... :deal:

I like paying $10 for unlimited web access. Because with MM phones, you can stream music and watch tv and taking my minutes for that would suck. Also being able to use PocketWeb and browse just about any website it worth it for me.

I agree. My VZW account uses minutes for the web, so I've got to watch that. 10 bucks for unlimited/worry free usage is worth the extra 5 bucks especially if you use it a lot. RL/apps/browsing/streaming music can eat up your minutes real quick. The extra 5 bucks is worth the peace of mind knowing you don't have to worry about using it :hee:
