Cool pics, nice to see a Moto in the line-up, let's hope this is just the beginning? Any idea as to a model number? Also does it have an exterio LCD cause I couldn't really tell. Thanks for the pics.

Yey you resized the pics, thanks.
What if this was the first phone to have cross network capabilities. :) That would suck, lol.

Finally, some hard evidence that Motorola's are coming Sprint's way. Also, psychojoe's statement on the super-secrecy of these phones has been validated. I can't wait until Blade vs RAZR!

So wait Sprint will get the RAZR? Also his sig says 2005 and as far as I can see there is no mention of the RAZR coming to the line-up but people have said that the Motorolas will sneak up behind up without even noticing. Let's hope the RAZR comes. :D

poster 'liquidplatinum' on hofo back on 9-21-05 posted that "Verizon may not be the first provider to get the v3c. I'm trying to provide as much info as I can while being vague....for obvious reasons." Add that to pile of Sprint RAZR V3c speculation!

Very nice look, but come on.... Sprint needs to get away from the mindset that free phones cannot have external displays. There is no excuse nor need for phones like the A660, SCP-200, A560, etc. A non-vision phone I can understand, but please for the love of cheese* include a CID display.

I hope the rumored E815 or even the far-off dual network phone is not where it ends... I want all the top Moto's to compete with Sanyo, Samsung and LG in the Sprint lineup.

i agree 100% i would never buy a flip phone without an outter LCD..it defeats the purpas of a flip phone, and it looks ugly

I like your optimism, sneak. I read your blog, apparently you know much that the common sprint man does not know. But i wonder how you have this supposed high level of knowledge of Motorola and Sprint. Others in 'the know' have not stated anything nearly as optimistic as you have (except for psychojoe).

i agree with your sig. A790 is a legend that does not get the recognition is deserves

Give moto a week :)
ssaifull
10-25-2005, 10:59 AM
psychojoe, we'll give 'em a week. hell i'm still givin them until 1/1/2006. as of today, there are zero specs, drawings, literature, or blurry camera phone pictures on any new motorolas (with the exception of the low end phone that is featured in this thread). If that's what we should give Sprint a week for, then I'll throw that junk back in their face.
Off topic: Ovaltine, yessir, I wish Sprint would slash the price of the A790 in half so more people could afford it and realize what a solid performer it really is. It is truly the best phone I've ever used to date (~30 diff. phones since Dec. 2000), with the Treo 650 being the most powerful phone and the Sanyo 5500 being the sentimental favorite.

I would get that phone in a heartbeat if it was BLADE-Thin, or at least a little thinner.

c290 is confirmed
moto-sprint relationship back up is all go
FCC has pics on file, if you run a google search for motorola c290 I know at least 1 website has a link to the FCC files, which include images on this phone, sprint branded and all. And, its not that ugly for a phone with no outside screen. At least its nicer than that new UTStarcom phone sprint just got.
Word on the street's that the moto logo lights up blue too.
if c290 has motomixer, I may downgrade from a pm325 to it
